Zayn Announces First Solo Tour of His Career, ‘Stairway to the Sky’
The wait is finally over for Zayn fans.
On Wednesday, the singer announced that for the very first time in his solo career, he’ll be heading out on his own tour this fall. The “Stairway to the Sky” tour, produced by AEG and SJM, includes 11 dates in the U.K. and the U.S. It is scheduled to begin Oct. 23 in San Francisco, making stops in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and D.C. before wrapping the North American leg on Nov. 2 in New York City.
The trek will continue through the U.K. on Nov. 20 in Edinburgh, with stops in Manchester, London and more before concluding on Dec. 3 in Newcastle.
Zayn will be performing in support of “Room Under the Stairs,” his long-awaited fourth studio album released earlier this year (and his first on new label Mercury Records). The project was co-produced with Grammy-winner Dave Cobb, with Zayn describing the album as an opportunity “for the listener to get more insight on me personally as a human being — my ambitions, my fears.”
Tickets to the tour will be available starting with the Zayn VIP Key Presale on Sept. 19 with additional presales running throughout the week. General on-sale will begin on Sept. 21 at 10 a.m. local at inzayn.com.
Zayn recently performed for the first time since 2016 for an intimate one night-only gig, and delivered his first television appearance since in eight years singing “Alienated” — the second single from “Room” —on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” He returned to the show on Tuesday night to tease the tour announcement.
