Tyler Perry’s ‘Beauty in Black’ Ratings: 1.2 Billion Minutes Watched

“Beauty in Black,” Tyler Perry‘s newest Netflix project, was the second-most-watched streaming original in the U.S. during the week of Oct. 25-31, per Luminate‘s weekly viewership rankings. The series hit 1.2 billion minutes watched in its first full week of availability, landing only behind “The Lincoln Lawyer” Season 3, which took first place for the second week in a row with 1.4 billion minutes watched.

“Territory,” another Netflix title, debuted in third place with 890.1 million minutes watched in its first week of availability. It was followed by Season 2 of “Tulsa King,” which has been on the chart for weeks, this time boosted by the release of its seventh episode to achieve 555.8 million minutes watched on Paramount+. Like in previous weeks, the rollout of “Tulsa King” Season 2 continued to bring viewers to Season 1, which was the No. 10 title with 264.9 million minutes watched Oct. 25-31.

“This Is the Zodaic” debuted with 482.3 million minutes watched, landing it in sixth place, while the rest of the chart was covered by repeat titles under 400 million minutes watched: “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story,” “Nobody Wants This” and “Agatha All Along,” as well as “Tulsa King” Season 1.

On the film chart, “Don’t Move” debuted with 792.3 million minutes watched in its first full week of availability on Netflix, while “Woman of the Hour” slipped from its first place debut to second place with 434.1 million minutes watched. In third was “Canary Black,” which hit 291 million minutes watched in its first week on Amazon Prime Video.

No other titles managed to cross 200 million minutes watched between Oct. 25 and 31. In order, the rest of the chart positions went to “Family Pack,” “Infinite,” “Hocus Pocus 2,” “Martha,” “The Menendez Brothers,” “Do Patti” and “Brothers.”
