Taylor Swift Debuts ‘I Can Do It With A Broken Heart’ Music Video

Taylor Swift premiered the music video for her “The Tortured Poets Department” song “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” during her final tour stop in London on Friday.

Swift played the TK-minute long video after leaving the Wembley Stadium stage, shortly after saying her goodbyes with her usual closer, “Karma.” The cinematic footage featured backstage clips of the “Eras Tour” (which Billboard calculated to be worth approximately $900 million by the end of 2023) with cameos from Swift’s background dancers and tour crew, including a bit of behind the scenes of how she travels under the stage.

The celebratory video was synced to “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” one of the more musically upbeat songs on Swift’s “Tortured Poets” album, though most of the lyricism is dark with Swift seemingly singing about going through a breakup while embarking on the biggest tour of her life.

The song is speculated to be about her recovery from a breakup with Joe Alwyn, with some speculating a connection to the 1975 frontman Matty Healy, who she was rumored to be dating. In perhaps a symbolic turn of events, at a previous London show, Swift’s new beau Travis Kelce joined her on stage before the song began, quite literally sweeping her off her feet before she sang the song about heartbreak.

News of the music video was revealed just as Swift was wrapping her final and eighth date at the Wembley Stadium in London. The concert also marks the end of her lengthy European leg of her “Eras Tour.” She will return to North America on Oct. 18 for a show at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.
