Marcia Gay Harden Signs With Independent Artist Group
Oscar and Tony-winning actress Marcia Gay Harden has signed on to be repped by Independent Artist Group. The news comes following Harden’s recent Emmy nomination — her fourth overall, and her second for playing Maggie Brener on Apple TV+’s “The Morning Show.”
Harden has also been honored this year for the North Fork Television Festival’s Canopy Award on behalf of her “persistence, integrity, and inclusive nature for diverse storytelling,” as well as the Avalon Award at the 2024 Catalina Film Festival and the Advocate Award at GLSEN’s 2024 Respect Awards on behalf of her work for the LGBTQIA+ community.
At IAG, Harden joins a growing roster of clients, with recent signings including Regina Hall, Sharon Stone, Nathalie Emmanuel, Maria Bello, William H Macy, Ken Jeong and director John Woo. They all join a list of longtime clients including Gary Oldman, Lily Gladstone, Cole Hauser, 50 Cent, Mary J Blige, Billy Joel and Metallica.
Besides “The Morning Show,” Harden’s other recent credits include the CBS dramedy “So Help Me Todd” and the thriller “Knox Goes Away” (helmed by Michael Keaton), which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
On the podcast front, Harden recently launched “Snoriezzz,” a children’s mindfulness bedtime show with comedian Natalie Peyton; it streams on all major podcast platforms.
Harden won the best supporting actress Academy Award for “Pollack,” and earned a nom for “Mystic River.” Her credits also include “Sinatra,” “Tell It Like A Woman,” “Confess, Fletch,” “Miller’s Crossing,” “Into The Wild” and “Mona Lisa Smile,” among others. On TV, her credits additionally include “Uncoupled,” “A Million Little Things,” “How To Get Away With Murder” and more.
The thesp published her first book, “The Seasons of My Mother: A Memoir of Love, Family, and Flowers,” in 2018. In it, she looks at the “joys and losses of life even as her precious mother strives to maintain her identity while coming to grips with Alzheimer’s disease.”
Harden is also repped by Framework Entertainment, The Initiative Group and Schreck Rose Dapello Adams Berlin & Dunham.
