Jason Wong Joins Jason Stathom in ‘Mutiny’ from ‘Plane’ Director

Jason Wong, the British actor best known for “Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves” and his frequent collaborations with Guy Ritchie (“The Gentleman,” “Wrath of Man,” “The Covenant”), has joined the cast of Lionsgate‘s action-thriller “Mutiny” alongside Jason Statham and Annabelle Wallis.

Being directed by “Plane” helmer Jean-François Richet, the pic is being produced by Statham through his newly-launched Punch Palace Productions banner alongside Marc Butan via his MadRiver Pictures.

As per the description, in “Mutiny,” after his billionaire industrialist boss is murdered in front of him, Cole Reed (Statham) is set up to take the fall for the crime — leaving him on the run as he works to uncover an international conspiracy. Wong will play Taran, Cole’s supportive loyal confidant whilst the action and drama unfolds.

Principal photography will take place this autumn in the U.K.. The film marks the latest collaboration between Richet, Butan, and Davis following “Plane” in 2023. Evan Powell will oversee for MadRiver. Lauren Bixby and Scott O’Brien oversee for Lionsgate.

Wong, who recently wrapped shooting on Lionsgate’s “In the Grey” opposite Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal, also directed by Ritchie, is repped by 42.
