Former BFI Chair Josh Berger Joins Advisory Board of Project Brazen

Josh Berger, the respected exec who was previously the head of Warner Bros. UK and served as BFI Chair, has been named on the inaugural advisory board for Project Brazen, the fast-rising “global journalism studio and production company” set up by former WSJ reporters and bestselling authors Bradley Hope and Tom Wright.

Berger — who left Warner. Bros in 2000 and last year unveiled his own media investment company Battersea Entertainment — joins the board alongside a number of distinguished figures, including Mojo Partners exec director and Como Group director Melissa Ong, former Financial Times editor Lionel Barber and Pi Capital founder and CEO David Giampaolo.

“After three years of developing Project Brazen into a multi-platform network and original storytelling engine, we are excited to bring on advisors who believe in our disruptive business model,” said Hope, who alongside Wright wrote “Billion Dollar Whale,” about 1MDB scandal and its various roots into Hollywood. “The next 12 months are going to be a period of extraordinary growth at the company.”

Set up in 2021 to capitalise on its founders investigative skills to focus on making podcasts with a swift route towards screen adaptations, Project Brazen has already been behind a growing library of titles. Recent successes include the critically acclaimed podcasts “Fat Leonard” (being adapted as a feature film with SK Global Entertainment), “Corinna and the King,” and “The Sound: Mystery of Havana Syndrome.” Project Brazen is represented by United Talent Agency in Los Angeles and Levy Law in New York City.
