Avicii’s Sneakers, Music Instruments and More Up for Auction
Sneakers, clothes, musical instruments and other memorabilia from Tim ’Avicii’ Bergling’s personal collection will be available to purchase as part of an auction supporting the late DJ’s foundation. The Tim Bergling Foundation advocates for the recognition of suicide as a global health crisis and actively works to remove the stigma attached to suicide and mental health issues.
Stockholms Auktionsverk in Avicii’s native Sweden will present the Avicii Collection, an auction consisting of 267 items that have been donated by his family. The proceeds will be donated in full to the Tim Bergling Foundation.
“We are incredibly proud to present this auction,” said Cecilia Gave, CEO of Stockholms Auktionsverk. “Tim Bergling touched countless people worldwide and continues to do so both through his music and the foundation the family has established in his name. It is a true honor to support The Tim Bergling Foundation to help even more young people. We have 350 years of experience passing on the artifacts of some of history’s most prominent cultural figures and consider it a privilege.”
Avicii died by suicide at the age of 28 in 2018. He grew a mass following DJing as a teenager and released his first single in 2007 before releasing a large number of singles and remixes in the following years.
The Live auction will take place at Nybrogatan 32 in Stockholm and online on Oct. 1 at 3 p.m. local time (9 a.m. ET, 6 a.m. PT). The auction will be published online on Sept 6. The viewing at 32 Nybrogatan is open to the public from Sept. 24 to 30.
