Upcoming PS5 Games Releasing In 2025 & Beyond
Sony’s PlayStation 5 has been around for a couple of years by this point, granting it plenty of opportunity to build up an expansive library capable of catering to the needs of most users. New PS5 games drop at an almost daily rate, ranging from smaller-scale indie projects designed by a handful of developers to massive AAA exclusives that are designed to be system sellers. In the meantime, the PlayStation 4 continues to receive love with cross-generation titles, so people who have yet to upgrade still have plenty to look forward to.
Which upcoming PS5 games will soon hit store shelves around the world? Which upcoming 2025 PS5 games will set the world alight? The calendar lists the most notable PS5 and PS4 projects, along with their North American release dates if that information has been announced.
Updated on January 1, 2025: With 2025 getting started, a bunch of upcoming PlayStation 5 games were added to the calendar: The Zebra-Man!, Biped 2, INAYAH: Life After Gods, RoadCraft, No Longer Human, Bittersweet Birthday, Mecha Break, Demonschool, Despelote, Afterlove EP, Sulfur, Elements Destiny, Commandos: Origins, Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered International, Cash Cleaner Simulator, XOut: Resurfaced, Mother Machine, Penny Blood, Time Flies, Deep Cuts.
PS5 & PS4 Games Coming Out In January 2025
Table of Contents
Sniper Elite, Dynasty Warriors, & More
While not usually one of the most packed months due to featuring a light opening two weeks, January tends to pick up steam as it goes along, and the 2025 addition is following this trend. Arken Age should be a fun VR option, while Freedom Wars Remastered will make a PS Vita exclusive available to a wider audience. Dynasty Warriors might have missed the mark with its ninth generation, but Origins will hopefully be a return to form. Tales of Graces f Remastered should have fantastic combat, assuming the original’s system is mostly retained (and has aged well).
Sniper Elite: Resistance is currently set to end January 2025 on a relatively high note, along with Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector. Both games are building on a very good predecessors, and there is nothing to suggest the newest entries will fail to improve on history.

PS5 & PS4 Games Coming Out In February 2025
Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Civilization, Assassin’s Creed, Monster Hunter, & More
January should start 2025 off on a positive note, setting the stage for a packed February that could prove to be the year’s strongest month. Nearly every week seems to have notable releases, and quite a few of them should be time-sinks that could stick around for years. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will build on its predecessor’s realism to provide an immersive action RPG set in a Medieval open-world. If someone prefers a trip to Japan, they can check out Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which will hopefully overcome a turbulent pre-release cycle and be a solid game.
Civilization 7 has been a long time coming, and if done right, it should be one of the best and most popular releases of 2025. The same can be said for Monster Hunter Wilds, and Capcom’s project looks fantastic so far. The franchise has gone fully mainstream by this point, and Wilds could be its crowning achievement. Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii looks awesome and weird. Lara Croft will make her return in a compilation remastering three of the more polarizing adventures in her history.

PS5 & PS4 Games Coming Out In March 2025
Two Point Museum, Tales Of The Shire, & More
While very much a work in progress, March 2025 is starting to take shape, with several relatively big (but niche) PS5 titles slotting into the month. Two Point Museum will hopefully build on the success of Two Point Hospital and Two Point Campus, providing a wacky but detailed management sim that is accessible but also deep. Suikoden 1 & 2 HD Remaster should make two classic JRPGs available to a modern audience; meanwhile, people craving a full-blown new entry in the genre should keep an eye on Atelier Yumia. While intense battles are always a blast, sometimes nothing hits the spot like a relaxing escape from reality. Tales of the Shire could offer that.

Major 2025 PS5 Games With No Release Dates
Borderlands, Ghost Of Yotei, & More

GTA 6, Death Stranding 2, Borderlands 4, Doom: The Dark Ages, Mafia: The Old Country, and Pathologic 3 are just a handful of sequels/prequels that seem likely to launch by the end of the year, and they all could be phenomenal.

Major Upcoming PS5 Games With No Release Year
Snake Eater, Wolverine, & More
As games spend years in development, plenty of projects are known to be in the works but have yet to announce anything resembling a release year. Wolverine, Assassin’s Creed Infinity, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Phantom Blade 0, The Witcher continuation, and Beyond Good and Evil 2 are some of the biggest games in the works, all of which will attract plenty of attention once they debut.
