Paying close attention to the general shape of the image is also beneficial, as many of them form recognizable shapes, such as a heart or a boat, which can make remembering the layout easier. Additionally, players should pay attention to the details within the arena, such, books or piles of paper, flowers, and even the arena itself, since these can act as visual markers to assist with precise navigation, especially to decide where to make turns.

Lastly, for those who find memorization difficult, taking a screenshot of the bird’s-eye view trail before starting can provide a handy reference, eliminating the need to rely solely on memory – or simply refer to the shape guides below.

Unfinished Book Puzzle #1 – Whisperwind Haven (Egla Town)

The first puzzle is located in the

center of Egla Town
. Players should observe the water jet locations closely, as these can serve as directional cues for the entire path, allowing them to navigate and follow the path by turning at the appropriate points.

Unfinished Book Puzzle #2 – Whisperwind Haven (Silver Moon Grove)

The second puzzle is located in the Silver Moon Grove

area of Whisperwind Haven
. To reach it, players simply need to head west from the teleport point. The trail for this puzzle is heart-shaped, and players should focus on forming the heart pattern around the pile of pages. Be sure to include a small loop at the top center of the heart to capture the pages in that section. This puzzle is relatively easy to complete with a high score, as long as players also pay close attention to the end part of the trail. Once the heart is completed, get to the end spot with a bit of a curve.

Unfinished Book Puzzle #3 – Nimbus Sanctum

The third puzzle is located north of the Lorelei Boss in the Atrium of Reflections. While the shape may appear complex, players should focus on moving quickly at the start of the trail and making sharp, precise turns during the zig-zag sections. As the trail transitions into a straighter segment, carefully follow it around the pile of papers, and just go straight with a bit of a curve. Finally, pass behind the Unfinished Book pedestal and continue to the designated endpoint to complete the challenge.

Unfinished Book Puzzle #4 – Penitent’s End (South)

The fourth challenge is located in Penitent’s End, east of the southest teleport point. The trail resembles interconnected triangles, requiring players to focus on making precise turns and following a straight line. Pay close attention to key landmarks, such as the mushroom with books and the Unfinished Book pedestal, as these serve as helpful indicators for where to make sharp turns. Between these points, aim to move as straight as possible to maintain accuracy and follow the trail easily.

Unfinished Book Puzzle #5 – Thessaleo Falls

The fifth puzzle is located west of Twin Peaks Bridge and can be easily accessed by Fast Traveling to the Forgery Challenge and heading north. For this challenge, players will need to create the shape of a four-pointed star. Use the three pages as key reference points, aiming to circle around them while creating inward curves between each point to form the star shape as accurately as possible. Pay close attention to the transitions to ensure the trail appears as “star-like” as intended.

Unfinished Book Puzzle #6 – Averardo’s Vault (Garden of The Lost)

The sixth puzzle is located southeast of the Garden of the Lost in Averardo’s Vault, requiring players to trace a butterfly or fairy-like shape. The primary visual cues for this puzzle include the scattered pages on the ground and the Unfinished Book pedestal. Due to its complex shape, this challenge can be particularly difficult for players who struggle with making sharp turns at the corners, as it demands a high level of precision.

Unfinished Book Puzzle #7 – Averardo’s Vault (Resonance Nexus)

At the halfway mark, the seventh puzzle is located east of Resonance Nexus and features a shape resembling a bell or hourglass. This challenge is among the easiest to complete, thanks to the abundance of visual cues, such as small candles and scattered pages, which make it straightforward for players to follow the trail accurately.

Unfinished Book Puzzle #8 – Penitent’s End (The Strand)

The eighth puzzle is also located in Penitent’s End, this time near The Strand area. The trail takes the shape of a boat, which serves as a helpful visual cue but requires players to follow a relatively straight path with precise, sharp turns. The most critical cues are the scattered books, which players should closely turn around to maintain the correct shape. Otherwise, they may veer off track and create an entirely different line. If unsure whether they’re still on the correct path during the straight sections, players can pause and check the glow of the lost pages to realign themselves. Overall, this puzzle can be challenging to achieve a 95% accuracy score.

Unfinished Book Puzzle #9 – Fagaceae Peninsula (Oakland Highcourt)

The ninth puzzle is located in Fagaceae Peninsula, on the north side of Oakland Highcourt, and just south west of the nearby resonance beacon. The shape of the trail resembles two leaves of a blossom. Players should focus on the three scattered page spots along the path. The two pages on the sides will serve as turning points for each leaf, while the middle page is the one players need to pass through multiple times to complete the trail.

Unfinished Book Puzzle #10 – Fagaceae Peninsula (North of Oakland Highcourt)

The tenth puzzle is located further north from the previous one, near both resonance beacons. In this challenge, players need to follow a trail shaped like a swan. The scattered pages once again serve as the key visual cues. This puzzle is one of the easier ones to complete, as the turns are not very sharp, and most of the shape can be completed before the glowing trail timer runs out.

Unfinished Book Puzzle #11 – Fagaceae Peninsula (Shores of the Last Breath)

The eleventh puzzle is best accessed from the nearby Flying Echo challenge Fast Travel point, located to the west of Shores of the Last Breath. The shape here resembles an hourglass. Although it may seem like there are no obvious visual cues, it’s actually one of the simplest puzzles to memorize due to its symmetrical design. Players can use the arena’s floor lines as a guide; by following the north and south lines, they can reach the middle area where the lines cross near the pile of pages. This makes the puzzle relatively straightforward to complete.

Unfinished Book Puzzle #12 – Hallowed Reach

The final and twelfth puzzle is located near the Hallowed Reach Resonance Nexus. This trail is shaped like a diamond and is relatively easy to complete. The most notable visual cue for this puzzle is the blue flowers scattered on the floor. Players can simply follow the path outlined by these flowers to complete the diamond shape effortlessly.
