Key Takeaways
- Frogan was banned from Twitch for “Targeted Hateful Conduct” involving a controversial Sabra Tier List.
- The Sabra Tier List was meant as a meme but faced backlash for its perceived antisemitic implications.
- Some Twitch users believe the platform’s ban on Middle Eastern streamers discussing Palestine is unfair compared to other bans.
Twitch streamer Frogan (stylized as fr0gan) has been banned on the platform. Known for her gaming streams, the 27-year-old Twitch Partner is also a public health expert and advocate, who’s also very outspoken about current issues.
Frogan has been the subject of controversy recently because of a viral Twitch clip of her saying that members of the US military deserved to have PTSD for their war crimes. While she did apologize on Twitter for how she worded her opinion, she stood by her sentiment about the crimes committed against countries like Palestine and Syria. The backlash towards Frogan continued after H3H3’s Ethan Klein uploaded a YouTube video titled “Twitch Has a Major Problem,” where he called her and other streamers of Arab descent out for making a “Sabra Tier List” during their panel at Twitchcon 2024. He alleged that the tier list was meant to demonize Jewish people like himself, but Frogan previously clarified that it was meant as a “meme” to determine who had a habibi pass.

Sneako Has Been Banned on Twitch, YouTube, and Kick
Popular content creator Nicolas “Sneako” Kenn De Balinthazy finds himself banned from Twitch, YouTube, and Kick in a span of merely a few days.
Shortly after these controversies came to light, Twitter account StreamerBans announced that Frogan had been banned from Twitch. The streamer also addressed the ban, saying that the reason was “Targeted Hateful Conduct,” which is a violation of Twitch’s Community Guidelines, and that she’s banned for 30 days. According to streaming reporter Zach Bussey, sources familiar with the matter said that Twitch suspended all the streamers involved in the Sabra Tier List panel.
What is the Sabra Tier List and Why Was Frogan Banned?
As mentioned, Frogan and other Arab streamers made the Sabra Tier List to rank streamers who get a habibi pass, with “Arab” as the highest tier and “Loves Sabra” as the lowest. Sabra is a popular dipping sauce brand known for its hummus, which Klein claims is in every refrigerator in Israel. Klein further alleged that the “Loves Sabra” tier was meant to be an antisemitic dig related to the conflict in Palestine. Although Frogan had been outspoken about Palestine, she said that the lowest tier was just meant for people who like “bottom of the barrel hummus.” Likewise, many pointed out that the streamers got a longer ban for making a tier list compared to Asmongold’s two-week ban for his racially charged comments about Palestinians.
Sabra is also on the BDS (Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions) list of products because its parent company, Strauss Group, reportedly made contributions to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
Meanwhile, many Twitch fans have called out the platform for banning some of the most prominent Middle Eastern streamers. They are also accusing Twitch of being racist towards the creators and allegedly silencing them for speaking out about Palestine on their streams. It’s also understandable why so many people are confused about Frogan getting sanctioned for the Sabra Tier List, especially seeing how Twitch allegedly gave Asmongold a slap on the wrist with his ban.
