Players will encounter several dangerous anomalies while exploring the world of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Even though it’s best to just avoid the areas with anomalies and live to fight another day, exploring the areas with these anomalies can get you some powerful artifacts to improve and give your stats a boost.

One of these anomalies is the big Bulbanear the Zalissya base which harbors one of the best artifacts in STALKER 2 called Weird Ball, which offers damage reduction from bullets. However, securing said artifact can be a bit tricky.

How to Get the Weird Ball Artifact Under the Bulba Anomaly in STALKER 2

Players can find the Bulba anomaly towards the east of Zalissya base in the location marked on the map in STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl. As players enter the area, they’ll notice a big ball of energy over the lake that’s constantly pulling in objects at short intervals. Getting too close will also pull players towards it, resulting in instant death.

So, here’s how players can reach close to the Bulba anomaly safely and secure the Weird Ball artifact in STALKER 2.

Once you reach the area, do not enter the lake until the Bulba has stopped pulling objects towards it.
Quickly run and hide behind any of the objects on the lake before Bulba starts pulling in objects again. This could be the orange tanker, or a big rock.
Once again, when Bulba starts to pull objects towards its center, it’ll be safe as long as you’re hiding.
As soon as Bulba stops its pull, you should quickly dart towards the ambulance right under the anomaly and crouch behind it.
When it’s safe, quickly grab the “Weird Ball” artifact under the Bulba anomaly. However, don’t run away just yet as the Bulba will pull you towards it.
Exit the lake area similar to how you entered it, by hiding behind objects.

Now you’ll finally have a legendary artifact in STALKER 2 to reduce damage taken from bullets, especially while standing still. You can go ahead and equip it in one of your artifact slots and its effects will start right away. One of the best things about the Weird Ball artifact is that it doesn’t have any radiation side effects on it, so players can use it without any repercussions.
