How to Beat the Poltergeists in Stalker 2
Players first encounter a Poltergeist during the start of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl in a rusted bunker. After entering the said bunker, objects start to levitate and hit players, indicating there’s a creature behind these shenanigans.
Although this encounter is an introduction to the monster, players can easily just cut through the bunker and progress forward into the cave. However, if you do decide to take down an electric or fire Poltergeist, let’s talk strategy.
How to Beat an Electric Poltergeist in Stalker 2
Facing off against an electrical variant of the Poltergeist is relatively easier compared to the fire variant. It has multiple attacks, including using telekinesis powers to shoot objects and quickly pass through you, which also deals damage. Here’s how to deal with it.
- Start by slowly getting close to the Poltergeist and shooting it with a shotgun.
- Once you hear it levitating an object, start running and jumping to avoid it hitting you.
- It will put up a barrier of rocks and dart around the area after getting hit. So, players will need to keep an eye on its movements and track it down.
- If the monster is far away, try to shoot a burst of SMG or AR bullets at it from a distance.
- Rinse and repeat the process until the monster is down.
How to Beat a Fire Poltergeist in Stalker 2
The fire variant of the Poltergeist is a nasty creature that deals damage and inflicts burn damage on players. If you follow the story missions, players will first encounter this creature in the Detention Center’s basement. Here’s how to deal with it.
- Be careful while approaching a fire Poltergeist as it’ll start inflicting a burn status effect on the players.
- Unlike the electric version, players will need to fight it from a distance, so using SMGs and ARs is recommended.
- Wait for the monster to stay still after repositioning and then start shooting at it.
- If the creature is in an enclosed space, throw a few grenades at it to deal great damage.
- Make sure to keep an eye on your health as it’ll quickly get critically low due to fire damage. Assign a medkit to your quick access slot to pop it as soon as your health is critical.
