Developer Titan Forge Games has released a brand-new hotfix update for the action MOBA Smite 2, offering a long list of fixes for a wide array of Gods. Smite 2 is powered by Unreal Engine 5 and exists as the sequel to the iconic 2014 title. The game mixes high-octane action, demanding challenges, and ability-focused combat with intriguing mythology, and players have the Founder’s, Deluxe Founder’s, and Ultimate Founder’s Editions to choose from.
During its alpha phase, Smite 2 received a November 2024 update, which included bug fixes spanning several Gods and improved stealth materials that were not appearing. The hotfix was released after a larger patch for the game was deployed at the start of the month, featuring a new Auto Build for the UI and changes to the God page. The MOBA’s recent update continues to evolve God gameplay and the community has been very receptive to the changes.

The update addressed issues concerning Agni’s Notorious Fumes, Cabrakan’s Refraction Shield, Zeus’ Chain Lighting, and more. Following in Marvel Rivals‘ footsteps, Smite 2 recently changed to a seasonal system, with themed collections mirroring the 6v6 PvP and the highly successful shooter from Arrowhead Game Studios Helldivers 2. However, the new enhancements to Smite 2‘s Gods were welcome additions in the community’s eyes. Additionally, one fan wished there were Aladdin nerfs included in the update, but admitted the live fixes were a good start, and another player didn’t mind the idea of Agni’s fixed Path of Flames being reverted because it sounded fun.
Smite 2 became a free-to-play title this year, during the open beta for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Steam Deck, in tandem with a patch that introduced Aladdin as a new God alongside additional content. The open beta also saw the popular 3v3 Joust mode return, a brand new Arthurian-themed map, and the developer promised a string of fresh content arriving in 2025.
