The Scare Seeker Lot Challenge is one of the rewards obtained from completing some of the tasks in the new limited-time event in The Sims 4 which will end on November 19, 2024. Players must start the Reaper’s Reward Event from the main menu to participate in the challenge.

Upon creating a Sim and moving into a house in The Sims 4, enter build mode and click on the Venue Info button (the house with an exclamation mark found in the top left corner). Choose the Traits Panel, then click on the trophy icon and choose the Scare Seeker Lot Challenge in The Sims 4.

The challenge isn’t really ‘challenging’ as it mainly helps Simmers get rid of their Scared or Terrified Moodlets. If you are living on a normal Residential Lot, the gameplay will be normal, and you might forget the challenge is even active. However, if players choose to live on a Haunted Residential Lot, then they will have no problem talking to spirits and getting spooked as the Scare Seeker Lot Challenge completely overshadows the Terrified Moddlets by an Energized One. You can now even challenge Temperance without feeling the effect of her powers. This effect also applies to other fears such as being scared of thunderstorms.

On a side note, sometimes Sims visiting your Lot will give you useful gifts like a Skill book or a type of flower, and thank you for the ‘good scare’.

The Scare Seeker Lot Challenge is earned by completing a couple of tasks from the Reaper’s Reward Event. Make sure you are playing The Sims 4 online to trigger the event from the main menu. Upon entering any save, the Reaper’s event will be displayed in the top left corner.

You will be asked to complete many tasks throughout the weeks, like Ask the Spirits about Ambrosia, Cook a recipe while level 3 or higher, and Summon the Grim Reaper and each one will reward a certain number of Event Points. Once you have enough Points, claim the challenge from the Reward Event page and open the Traits Panel to activate the Scare Seeker Lot Challenge.
