Forever Entertainment and MegaPixel Studio have teamed up to reveal that they are bringing back a classic 1998 horror rail shooter with The House of the Dead 2: Remake. Originally offering players in the late 90s a completely different gameplay experience when compared to the popular Resident Evil franchise, The House of the Dead 2: Remake will soon be making its way to modern audiences with a fresh look, enhanced audio, and an exciting revamp of old-school zombie arcade gaming.
Launched in 1998 on a series of Sega arcade cabinets, The House of the Dead 2 features on-rails shooting mechanics with delightfully gory zombie hordes. A prominent FPS horror video game in its heyday, The House of the Dead 2 is considered by many to be one of the most iconic arcade releases of the period and a staple in the zombie genre. While the game has previously been ported to consoles like the Sega Dreamcast, original Xbox, and Nintendo Wii, The House of the Dead 2 is set to get a full remake with a number of big changes.

Developer MegaPixel Studio and publisher Forever Entertainment have released the official announcement trailer for The House of the Dead 2: Remake, giving fans their first look at the modern updates being made to the classic rail shooter. Similar to other prominent retro zombie horror games, The House of the Dead 2 sees players taking on the role of a secret agent fighting against hordes of the undead in order to try and stop a massive outbreak of infected monsters. The House of the Dead 2: Remake will feature overhauled graphics and remastered music and will add even more environments for players to explore while battling against swarms of zombies in either single-player or co-op mode. Additional gameplay options will include multiple game modes, such as Classic Campaign and Boss Mode, branching levels, and multiple endings.
