Pokemon TCG Pocket: How to Craft Cards
Pokemon TCG Pocket is the newest Pokemon game for mobile, set to launch worldwide at the end of October 2024. This game takes the physical Pokemon Trading Card Game and digitizes it, letting players collect digital card copies, open booster packs, interact with other players, and even build a deck to battle.
Due to the uncertainty of opening booster packs, accumulating specific cards needed to build a decent deck can be very tricky. This is especially true as the player-to-player card trading system won’t be available until a later update, meaning players are limited to obtaining cards themselves, for now. Luckily, there is also a crafting system implemented in the game, enabling players to acquire specific cards and complete that perfect deck build. Find out everything you’ll need to know about how cards can be crafted in Pokemon TCG Pocket in the guide below.
How to Craft Cards in Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket
In Pokemon TCG Pocket, the main emphasis of the game revolves around opening booster packs to build a collection of cards. Aside from the collecting aspect of the game, there is also the battle feature, which requires players to construct decks out of cards that share the same Type.
For this reason, acquiring specific cards that you need to complete a deck, such as middle-stage evolutions, or powerful EX cards, can be extremely time-consuming and tricky. Luckily, there is a helpful crafting system in the game that enables players to guarantee to acquire certain individual cards from sets that are currently available. This allows players to fill in the gaps in their deck and get fully prepared to start competing in battle, so knowing how to craft cards can come in very handy.
When visiting the page where you open booster packs, you will notice a small number in the corner of the screen:
This is your current number of Pack Points. Pack Points are earned when a player consumes Pack Stamina to open booster packs, so if you are opening packs on a pretty consistent basis, you should be able to accumulate Pack Points at a steady rate. Click the Pack Points icon to open a new page containing all cards within the set, each of which is complete with a crafting price.
Pack points are capped at a maximum of 2,500 per account, so it’s important to remember spending them every so often!
Every card that you can afford with your current amount of Pack Points will have a label to indicate so. Obviously, the higher a card’s rarity Is, the more expensive it will be in Pack Points, and therefore you’ll need to take a much longer time accumulating points to purchase the biggest hits of each set. While it is certainly a grind to acquire the likes of full-art EX cards and Immersive cards, this is at least a guaranteed way to acquire them and fill in the missing cards needed to complete each set as it is released.
