Recently, Overwatch 2 rolled out its mid-Season 14 patch, bringing with it a new batch of hero buffs and nerfs, cosmetics, and other updates. It also marked the beginning of both the Min 1, Max 3 6v6 experiment and the Year of the Snake in-game activities, with Overwatch: Classic and Valentine’s Day slated to begin two weeks later.

Overwatch 2 has undergone many seasons of themed battle passes, and with the game entering its 15th season, there are plenty of other options.
Now, players can earn some in-game cosmetics to celebrate the new patch without even logging into the game. From now through the end of January, fans who watch four hours of any Overwatch 2 streamers on Twitch will get the Synthwave Lifeweaver Epic Skin, as well as the matching Synth Lotus spray, with the skin unlocking at the two-hour mark. So long as their Battle.net and Twitch accounts are connected, players can find these items in their collections after claiming them on the streaming platform.
How to Get Overwatch 2 Mid-Season 14 Twitch Drops
-
Connect one’s Battle.net and Twitch accounts, then watch any Overwatch 2 streamers on Twitch from now through January 31, 11:58 AM PST, to earn the following cosmetics:
- 2 hours: Synthwave Lifeweaver Epic skin
- 4 hours: Synth Lotus Lifeweaver spray
Synthwave Lifeweaver and the Synth Lotus spray were both offered together in August 2023 as a part of a bundle for 1200 Overwatch Coins, or alongside the Synthwave Tracer bundle for 2500 Overwatch Coins. Strangely, the Sigh… voice line that was included in the original Synthwave Lifeweaver bundle is not included in this new Twitch Drop.
Fans who had already purchased the Epic Synthwave Lifeweaver skin are unfortunately out of luck with this particular Twitch Drop. While Overwatch 2 had previously refunded players who purchased Own Guardian Mercy ahead of it being offered as a Prime Gaming reward in 2023, Blizzard has not done so for any other promotions since then.
Players looking for more free cosmetics can also get a Year of the Snake-themed player icon, name card, spray, and Juno voice line by completing in-game challenges during the Overwatch 2 Chinese New Year event from now through February 3. The day after that, the Valentine’s Day event begins, which will likely bring another set of in-game challenges and rewards for fans to earn. Overwatch 2 Season 15 begins when this second holiday ends on February 18 – and players can almost certainly expect another Twitch Drop campaign to celebrate the major update.
