Not only did this arc deliver some of the major deaths, along with big twists and turns and major plot reveals in the story, but it also saw many old characters return once again, which is something that delighted the fans. Of course, while some of them were predictable returns, others were so shocking that no fan could have ever predicted them.

Koby

Koby is one of the characters that fans got to see at the very beginning of One Piece. He sailed with Luffy after being saved by him, but eventually parted ways and joined the Navy. Koby was seen in One Piece briefly, specifically after the events of the Enies Lobby arc, and after that, in the Summit War as well. After the timeskip, Koby was barely seen in the story, and he only made his proper return in Egghead, where a segment focused on him was delivered.

Koby showcased his true strength to the fans when he awakened his latent Haki and secured an escape from Egghead, as Garp made a huge sacrifice for him.

Rob Lucci

Lucci Returned Properly On Egghead After Enies Lobby

Rob Lucci is one of the many characters who returned in the Egghead Island Arc. Fans know Lucci to be a very powerful fighter, and he served as the main antagonist of the Enies Lobby arc. Lucci returned in Egghead, this time, with the goal of assassinating Vegapunk.

Of course, with Luffy arriving on Egghead, a confrontation between these two was inevitable, but Lucci quickly found out that he was out of his depth in a clash against an Emperor, which is why he settled for his number two, Zoro. These two fought an extremely long battle, which was tiring for both. In the end, a true conclusion to this battle was never reached, although Zoro was certainly the dominant one.

Kaku

Kaku, another former member of the CP9, was seen returning in the Egghead Island arc. Just like Lucci, he fought the Straw Hats and showcased his skills, and at the same time, his emotional growth over the years. Although his role was not as elaborate as that of Lucci, it was still exciting, especially towards the end, when fans saw a bit of his relationship with Stussy being developed by the author.

Stussy

Stussy Made A Grand Return After Whole Cake Island

One Piece Stussy

Introduced as an underworld agent during the Whole Cake Island Arc, Stussy is a character that fans always wanted to see more of. Eventually, fans did get to see more of this individual, and this only happened in bits and pieces across Wano. In Egghead, however, Stussy was a main character, and fans got to see her powers properly, along with her entire history of creation in the first place.

Stussy’s fate remains unknown at the end of Egghead, but it is safe to say that without her, the escape of the Straw hat Pirates would not have been possible and this Arc would have been very different.

Garp

Garp Took A Central Role For The First Time Since The Paramount War

The Hero of the Navy, Monkey D. Garp returned and took center stage in the Egghead Island arc. Garp was seen attacking the Pirates Island, Hachinosu, in the Egghead Island Arc of the story. He did this to save his protege, Koby, from the clutches of the Blackbeard Pirates. It is safe to say that Garp succeeded at fulfilling his mission, but, in the end, he was left behind and his current fate remains unknown.

Still, for the very first time in ages, fans got to see the true power, which was certainly fantastic. There’s more from Garp to come in the upcoming arcs, and fans hope for similar treatment from Oda.

Kuma

Kuma Played A Major Role After The Summit War Saga

One of the former Shichibukai, Bartholomew Kuma was seen returning to One Piece in the Egghead Island arc. In fact, this Arc was primarily his, to begin with. Kuma had his entire life story revealed to the fans in this arc, and not only did fans get to see his past, but they also saw him making moves in the present timeline, going against logic itself, and moving purely based on the power of love.

Kuma fought against Kizaru and Saturn, in what was an incredibly cathartic moment. Hopefully, fans will get to see more of Kuma in the upcoming arcs of One Piece.

Jewelry Bonney

Bonney Finally Became The Focus In Egghead

Jewelry Bonney is a member of the Worst Generation who fans did not get to see much of before Egghead. However, she made her reintroduction in the story immediately after the end of Wano. Ever since then, Bonney has been central to the events of Egghead, and it is safe to say that she was the secondary protagonist of this arc.

Fans got to see Bonney’s entire story, starting from her birth, all the way to where she became a pirate, and eventually, met Luffy. Bonney’s powers are a huge part of her character, which Oda fleshed out in a brilliant manner in this arc of the story. Bonney sails with the strawhats to Elbaf, and she will continue being important in the future as well.
