One Piece: All Known Mythical Zoan Devil Fruits

Devil fruits are an incredible source of power in the world of One Piece, and arguably the easiest way of gaining strength in a short period. By eating one, a person can gain a specific power, at the cost of their ability to swim.

At the beginning of the series, devil fruits were considered rare, with only a handful of people possessing the mysterious fruits. However, as the series progressed, devil fruits became more and more common. Zoan type devil fruits are one of the three types of devil fruits; what’s more, these are further subdivided into other groups, with Mythical Zoans being the rarest. So far, only seven Mythical Zoans have been revealed — here’s what viewers know about them.

Updated on October 4th, by Suzail Ahmad: Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruits are the rarest type, more so than the Logia-type. These Devil Fruits are based on creatures that exist in various mythologies. Most of the Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruits introduced in One Piece are extremely powerful.

Due to these reasons, Oda hasn’t included too many Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruits in One Piece. Most of the time, the characters that do end up with these powers are highly relevant to the plot. In the Egghead arc, Oda let loose and revealed five new Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruits, all of which belonged to the Five Elders. Considering the fact that One Piece has released over 1000 chapters, fans might not remember the user of each Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit. So, the list has been updated to include more information about the current wielder of each power.

14 Mythical Zoan Gyuki

Spider And Oni Hybrid

• Current User: Saint. Jaygarcia Saturn
• Debut: Chapter 233, Episode 151

Like all the powers of the Five Elders, there is no concrete evidence that Jaygarcia Saturn’s power is due to a devil fruit. Even if it turns out to be a different power, it is true that it is based on a mythical creature. Saturn is able to turn into Gyuki, a massive creature that is a cross between a spider and a demon.

Due to his power, Saturn is able to morph into Gyuki. He is able to regenerate from all kinds of damage with little to no difficulty. He can spit venom at his opponents, which is highly corrosive and can cause serious problems for them. Saturn’s limbs are also extremely durable, and they can pierce steel.

Greatest Feat: Jaygarcia Saturn was a big nuisance for everyone on Egghead Island. His invisible aura made it nearly impossible for anyone to hurt him.

Weakness: It has no glaring weakness.

Current User: Saint. Jaygarcia Saturn was killed by Imu after the former failed to stop Vegapunk’s transmission from reaching the rest of the world.

13 Mythical Zoan Feng Xi

This Mythical Zoan-type ability belongs to Saint. Topman Warcury. Feng Xi is a gigantic boar with massive tusks, which act as lethal weapons and, in theory, can be used to kill someone.

In his transformed state, Warcury’s body becomes so tough that even a punch from Luffy is unable to hurt him. He is also able to run at high speeds, which is rather surprising considering his size. The Celestial Dragon’s ability to move rapidly allows him to catch his opponents off-guard.

Greatest Feat: Warcury’s tough outer skin made it impossible for attacks to hurt him.

Weakness: Warcury’s form has no major shortcoming.

Current User: Warcury still possesses this Mythical Zoan-type ability, and it’s likely that fans will see him use it again in the other arcs of the Final Saga.

12 Mythical Zoan Bakotsu

The power was revealed in the Egghead arc, and it belongs to Saint. Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro. The Bakotsu has a case for being the best-looking Mythical Zoan in the series.

Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro is able to use both the fully transformed form and the hybrid form, which shows that he has great control over his devil fruit. Bakotsu gives him the power to create, and he can imbue his sword with it. Furthermore, it grants him immense speed with which he can blitz his opponents.

Greatest Feat: Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro was able to cut down multiple Pacifista so quickly that most people were unable to process what had transpired.

Saint Shepherd Ju Peter looks like the youngest of all the Five Elders, but that doesn’t mean that he lacks the experience to fight. Ju Peter used his power for the first time against Sabo in Marijoa, but Oda only disclosed the silhouette. It wasn’t until the Egghead arc that fans learned that he was blessed with the power to transform into a Sandworm.

Ju Peter can use his giant mouth to consume almost everything in his surroundings. It generates so much force that it is nearly impossible to escape. Fortunately, it is possible to slow down the progress by shoving massive things into Ju Peter’s mouth.

Greatest Feat: Ju Peter’s biggest asset is his mouth, with which he can chew through the hardest substance with little to no problem.

Weakness: At the moment, the only weakness of this form is that its swallowing speed can be slowed down.

Current User: Ju Peter has proven himself to be a capable fighter in the limited time that he featured in the Egghead arc. As one of the main antagonists of One Piece, he will likely appear again in the future.

10 Mythical Zoan Itsumade

This mysterious power belongs to Marcus Mars, the Godhead of the Environment. When he morphs into the beast form, Marcus Mars becomes a massive bird that can cover long distances in a short period of time. This quality can be used to take down enemies before they even have the chance to understand what happened.

The beast form increases Mars’ durability, which means that he can withstand a lot more strikes. When he needs to go on the offensive, he can use a potent energy beam to annihilate his foes.

Greatest Feat: Marcus Mars’ is capable of releasing energy beams that can pierce metal and create fire potent enough to burn giants.

Weakness: It has no apparent weak point.

Current User: Marcus Mars is one of the four old remaining Gorosei. Despite their collective failure, it was Jaygarcia Saturn who got the short end of the stick.

The Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, belongs to Monkey D. Luffy. It is one of the most overpowered devil fruits in the series. In an attempt to hide the power of the devil fruit, the World Government changed its name to Gomu Gomu no Mi. According to the Five Elders, they had been trying to get their hands on the devil fruit for ages, but it always seemed to evade them. When they finally got their hands on the devil fruit, it was stolen by Shanks from the ship carrying it.

The Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika allows Luffy to transform his body into rubber. Initially, Luffy could only perform a few basic attacks, but after training a lot, he developed different “Gears” that enabled him to fight strong opponents. When Luffy finally awakened his devil fruit, he was able to utilize it to the fullest. Luffy dubbed his awakening Gear Fifth, and it completely altered his appearance. Luffy gained white hair, eyebrows, and clothes, and a white cloud covered his back. In this form, Luffy’s power reached new levels. He was able to alter his body shape as much as he wanted. It reached the point where even Kaido called the devil fruit’s power absurd. Overall, Gear Fifth is one of the most unique power-ups in the series.

Greatest Feat: Luffy has faced countless opponents, each one stronger than the last. As a result, his catalog of achievements is extremely impressive, but his biggest feat is undoubtedly defeating Kaido, who was considered the “strongest creature in the world.” As expected, Kaido proved to be an extremely tough opponent for Luffy, who needed to combine the power of Gear Fifth and Advanced Conqueror’s Haki to take down the Yonko.

Mythology has served as Eiichiro Oda’s inspiration for many of his characters, devil fruits, and other major elements in the story. One of Oda’s main inspirations has been Greek mythology. The Uma Uma no Mi, Model: Pegasus is one of the many devil fruits modeled after Greek mythological creatures. According to Greek mythology, Pegasus was a winged horse that could fly through the air at great speeds. The horse was considered untamable before Bellerophon finally got it under his control.

The devil fruit was eaten by Stronger, the horse of Doc Q. This Mythical Zoan devil fruit gave Stronger wings, granting him the ability to fly. Despite eating such a rare devil fruit, Stronger’s body was still weak, as evidenced by the fact that he nearly collapsed when Blackbeard got on top of him.

Greatest Feat: Stronger didn’t get enough screen time to prove what he was truly capable of. His biggest accomplishment was carrying two people before being sent crashing down by Trafalgar Law’s attack. Judging from Doc Q’s dialogue, it seems that Stronger is dead, and so the devil fruit might be passed on to someone else.

Weakness: The devil fruit doesn’t have any glaring weaknesses. However, it is safe to assume that if Stronger’s wings are damaged, he will become incapacitated.

Current User: Despite suffering what seemed like a fatal wound at the time, Stronger survived and is currently with the other members of the Blackbeard Pirates.

7 Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix

Mythical Bird That Could Revive From Its Ashes

Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix is one of the few known devil fruits that grant the ability to fly. The devil fruit was eaten by Marco when he was still an apprentice on Whitebeard’s ship. Like the usual Zoan-type fruits, it grants Marco extra strength and recovery in addition to his flight powers.

The blue flames from the devil fruit grant Marco incredible regeneration. He can use it to recover from any injury, allowing him to take out the enemy by surprise. Marco can also use the flames to heal others around him, bringing them back into fighting shape. During the raid, Marco was able to fight King and Queen, while using his flames to save the alliance members from the Ice Oni virus. It is without a doubt one of the most overpowered devil fruits in the series.

Greatest Feat: Marco’s mythical zoan devil fruit allows him to fight multiple opponents at the same time. He was among the few characters whom the Five Elders believed were powerful enough to take down Blackbeard. Marco’s most remarkable feat was undoubtedly clashing against Big Mom and holding her off to help the Alliance.

Weakness: The Tori Tori no Mi drains the user’s stamina whenever they try to recover from an injury. If the healing is overused, the user will reach a point where they cannot utilize the powers any further. This is a problem, especially in prolonged fights.

Current User: Despite losing the battle to Blackbeard, Marco managed to survive and not lose his devil fruit. Marco made his return in the Wano Country arc where he helped the alliance against Kaido.

6 Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Daibutsu

Golden Buddha That Symbolizes Enlightenment

Sengoku once served as the Fleet Admiral of the Marines, but after the time-skip, he became an Inspector General. Being an old-timer, Sengoku has fought against some of the biggest names in pirating history, including Shiki, Roger, and Whitebeard. He’s undoubtedly one of the strongest Marines in the series, and is the only known Marine who has access to all three types of Haki.

Sengoku possesses the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Daibutsu, which turns him into a gigantic golden Buddha. Whilst in this form, Sengoku is able to emit shockwaves from his palms. These shockwaves are very powerful, as they were able to wound the Blackbeard Pirates.

Greatest Feat: Sengoku is respected, not just by the Marines but also by the pirates. During a flashback in the Wano Country arc, it was revealed that even Roger considered Sengoku to be a worthy opponent. Sengoku’s devil fruit boosted his fighting abilities, and it helped him to take down Golden Lion Shiki. It is also worth noting that while Shiki managed to heavily wound Garp, there was no such news about Sengoku.

Weakness: Presently, the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Daibutsu does not have any major weaknesses. This makes it extremely difficult for the opponents to get the better of Sengoku in a fight.

Current User: Sengoku has stayed away from action, so he has not put his life in danger. After stepping down from his position, his screen time has been reduced significantly.

5 Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Okuchi no Makami

This devil fruit is among the most recent Mythical Zoan types to be revealed in One Piece. The devil fruit belongs to Yamato, Kaido’s child, who used the power of the devil fruit in her fight against her father. ​​​​​​With it, Yamato was able to hold her own against Kaido, the strongest creature in the world. Kaido even complimented the power of the devil fruit and held it in high regard.

Yamato has used the hybrid as well as full Zoan forms already. However, the true power of the devil fruit has not been revealed. There is still no clear information about the special ability of the devil fruit. All fans know is that as a carnivorous Zoan, it grants the user heightened senses, along with the regular powers of an ordinary Zoan devil fruit.

Greatest Feat: Yamato’s Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Okuchi no Makami allows her to transform into a mythical wolf. It greatly enhanced Yamato’s fighting abilities, and it also allowed her to produce ice. Yamato’s most impressive moment was clashing with her father.

Weakness: Considering the devil fruit is based on the guardian deity of Wano, it is hardly surprising that it does not have any weak points.

Current User: Many fans were under the impression that Yamato would join the Straw Hat Pirates, but she decided against it. Yamato is still in Wano, looking for her next adventure.

4 Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Kyubi no Kitsune

Eaten by Catarina Devon, the Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Kyuni no Kitsune was introduced during the Wano Country arc. The devil fruit grants Catarina Devon the ability to shapeshift, which she has used to trick others.

During this arc, Catarina used the power of the devil fruit to fool Gecko Moria into believing that Absalom was still alive. The extent of the fruit’s powers remains unknown, but with time, more will surely be revealed.

Greatest Feat: Catarina Devon remains a mysterious character and there is very little that is known about her. The only thing that is known about her past is that she was considered to be the worst female pirate to be imprisoned in Impel Down.

Weakness: In order to morph into a person, Catarina Devon must touch them. This can be very challenging, especially when her opponent is strong.

Current User: Catarina Devon has mastered her devil fruit ability, which is why Blackbeard sends her on sensitive missions.

3 Hebi Hebi no Mi, Model: Yamata no Orochi

Orochi is one of the main villains of the Wano Country arc. He became the shogun of Wano after he joined hands with Kaido, one of the Yonko. With Kaido’s strength, Orochi was able to take over Wano and turn it into a wasteland.

Orochi was given the Hebi Hebi no Mi, Model: Yamata no Orochi, by Kurozumi Higurashi. The devil fruit allows Orochi to transform into an eight-headed snake. The fruit enabled him to survive decapitation several times. Currently, it is unknown whether there is a limit on how many times Orochi can survive being killed.

Greatest Feat: Orochi is not a fighter by any means, but he is an extremely cunning individual. With his ruthlessness, Orochi managed to steal the position of the Shogun of Wano. The true potential of his devil fruit will never be known considering how cowardly he is.

Weakness: While the devil fruit did grant Orochi several lives, it didn’t offer him much physically. Orochi could not defend himself from the attacks of his opponents. However, it is unfair to pin the entire blame on the devil fruit, as Orochi wasn’t a fighter.

Current User: After Orochi’s death in Wano, the Hebi Hebi no Mi, Model: Yamata no Orochi went back into circulation. But it has yet to be eaten by another person, so it’s new user is unknown.

2 Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Onyudo

Allows User To Turn Into Monk Yokai

This devil fruit was eaten by Onimaru, the former companion of Shimotsuki Ushimaru. It allows Onimaru to transform into a huge monk yokai and grants him human intellect. While transformed, the komagitsune is also able to speak in human language.

Onimaru was seen using the form against Roronoa Zoro. He managed to put up a decent fight against his opponent; however, the Straw Hat swordsman was eventually able to overpower the komagitsune.

Greatest Feat: Onimaru might be a fox, but he is very courageous and loyal. After Ushimaru’s death, Onimaru allied with Kawamatsu and started to steal weapons. In his transformed state, Onimaru was able to challenge and injure Roronoa Zoro.

Weakness: The Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Onyudo made Onimaru stronger than many fighters, and it had no real vulnerability.

Current User: Onimaru was able to live through the turbulent conditions in Wano and the devil fruit played an integral part in his survival.

1 Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu

Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu is one of the strongest devil fruits within the entire series, eaten by Kaido before he became a Yonko. In his full Zoan form, Kaido is able to cover an entire town with ease. Kaido’s entire body is covered by scales that are nigh impossible to penetrate without strong haki.

In his hybrid form, Kaido is able to move more freely and avoid attacks easily. The fruit grants Kaido access to some incredible abilities such as Bolo Breath, Kaifu, Tatsumaki, etc. Bolo Breath in particular is a devastating attack that can wipe out a huge structure. The devil fruit also allows Kaido to “fly” through the air with the help of Flame Clouds. He can also use these clouds to make other things float, such as the island of Onigashima.

Greatest Feat: Because of his devil fruit, Kaido became an extraordinarily powerful individual. His strength was enough to scare the members of the Worst Generation. At the beginning of the Wano arc, he was able to take down Luffy with just one blow. Kaido’s overwhelming power helped him earn the title of “Strongest Creature in the World.”

Weakness: Kaido’s devil fruit made him incredibly powerful, and there was almost no one who could stand up to him. The Uo Uo no Mi’s biggest weakness is that when Kaido transforms into a dragon, his body becomes an easy target. Normally, it wasn’t a problem, but when he was fighting someone like Oden or Luffy, they could effortlessly damage his body. However, it is safe to say that the pros outweigh the cons.

Current User: Kaido’s current fate remains unknown, which is why it is unclear whether the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu still belongs to him or has gone back into circulation. This confusion will likely be cleared in the future.
