- Both toys measure 12×10 inches and can be pre-ordered at The Pokemon Center, with an estimated mid-January 2025 ship date.
- Pokemon Squishmallows are popular for their squishy, huggable design, and tend to sell out, appearing at retailers like Target later.
Pokemon and Squishmallow are teaming up to introduce two new Squishmallows, this time adding Eevee and Chansey to the collection. The Gen 1 Pokemon have remained iconic and popular since their inception in the Pokemon series, making them good choices to join the group.
When it comes to Pokemon plush toys, there are many options for potential buyers to choose from. Pokemon produces many plush variants of its pocket monsters itself, and also works with third-party companies like Squishmallow and Build-a-Bear to create specialized variants, too. While Pokemon Build-a-Bears are special for their customizable nature and speaking chips, Pokemon Squishmallows are loved for their squishy, huggable qualities and their slightly simplified, chibi-version designs of iconic Pokemon.

Niantic announces a new Pokemon GO event that will introduce even more Galarian pocket monsters to its hit mobile game’s creature pool.
As of this writing, both Eevee and Chansey are now available for pre-order at The Pokemon Center. The two plush toys are the same size, coming in at 12 inches in height and 10 inches in width. As officially licensed products, the two plush toys feature an embroidered Poke Ball patch on their backs, and are made out of soft, touchable fabric that makes them inviting to squeeze. Chansey looks a little closer to how it appears in games and the animated series, down to a three-dimensional protruding egg pouch and a long tail. Eevee is a little rounder and sillier looking, shaped like an egg overall, though it also has a large bushy tail of its own.
Pokemon Squishmallows for Christmas?
The two Squishmallows are available for $29.99 USD and are estimated to ship by mid-January in 2025. This makes them a little too late to pick up for someone as a Christmas present, but there are plenty of other Pokemon Squishmallows available for purchase now that should make it with time to spare if buyers don’t wait too long. As the holiday season gets closer, buyers should avoid delaying a purchase, as Pokemon Squishmallows have sold out in the past.
However, those who wait too long may still be in luck, as Pokemon Squishmallows typically make appearances at other stores following their Pokemon Center launches. These tend to be different sizes than the Pokemon Center versions, and they lack the special Pokemon Center Poke Ball patch on the back. They’re otherwise identical, though, and Pokemon Squishmallows have a history of flying off shelves at places like Target and Walmart. The cute and affordable plush toys make a great choice for anyone interested in Pokemon, especially when a fan’s favorites get the Squishmallow treatment.
