Marvel Rivals: Where To Find Bats The Ghost Dog (A Hounding Conversation)
Quick Links
Table of Contents
Marvel Rivals is filled with cool Easter eggs and unique interactions that players can trigger by performing specific actions. These interactions, or Easter eggs, mainly provide insight into the world’s lore in Marvel Rivals or the greater Marvel Universe. Things like the Stark-Fujikawa building in Tokyo 2099 and voice lines about Brian Banner, the father of Bruce Banner (the Hulk), have been placed by the developers as a reference to the Marvel Universe.

The Marvel Universe is brimming with heroes, but some of their powers might be too much or too little to join the Marvel Rivals roster.
With the addition of the Sanctum Sanctorum map to the game, you can bet players were expecting to see some new Easter eggs there. Alongside the Infinite Staircase, this map contains Doctor Strange’s pet ghost dog, Bats, roaming around the Sanctum, which is linked to an achievement, ‘A Hounding Conversation.’
Where To Find Bats The Ghost Dog In Marvel Rivals
Bats can be found near the foyer area of the Sanctum Sanctorum map. This map can only be played when you load into a Doom Match, which is essentially a free-for-all deathmatch game mode. You will find Bats after you enter the foyer as soon as you walk into the main entrance of the building.
Bats usually stick around the main stairs and the portrait of Doctor Strange. He is also sometimes seen on the dog bed placed on the ground near the stairs. Bats will be glowing with a ghostly blue color, so it’s quite difficult to miss him.
Bats is a dog adopted by Doctor Strange, on whom he later cast a spell that allowed him to speak. However, Bats had a weak heart, which caused his death not long after Strange adopted him. After his death, Bats came back to Strange in his ghost form and hangs around the Sanctum.
How To talk To Bats The Ghost Dog (A Hounding Conversation)
Talking to Bats the Ghost Dog completes the ‘A Hounding Conversation‘ achievement in the game. You’ll need to trigger a specific voice line while talking to him, which will complete the Hounding Conversation achievement.
The most important part you’ll need to remember here is that not every character in the game can trigger a conversation with him. Only four specific characters can do this, and they are:
You can turn on the subtitles in the game to be sure that the conversation is triggered, since it can be hard to hear certain voice lines on different maps. The Doom Match game mode tends to have a lot of fighting, which means more noise in the background.
