Marvel Rivals Reveals Gameplay of The Thing
Summary
- The Thing and Human Torch will debut in Marvel Rivals on February 21.
- New gameplay footage shows The Thing’s ability to charge into battle and soak up a lot of damage.
- New characters continue to be teased, with Ultron and Blade expected to be added to the game soon.
NetEase Games has given players their first look at gameplay footage of The Thing in Marvel Rivals. In addition to the rocky hero, Human Torch will be making his first appearance when both characters release as part of Marvel Rivals‘ large mid-season update on February 21. Their debut will round out the members of The Fantastic Four as the heroes lead the charge against Dracula and his vampire army.
The upcoming patch will also be introducing a number of changes, such as a highly requested feature allowing players to convert excess Chrono Tokens into Units in Marvel Rivals. During Season 0, a large portion of the community complained that they had earned large quantities of the battle pass currency and were upset that it wouldn’t carry over into Season 1. Now, gamers will be able to utilize their Chrono Tokens another way, allowing them to potentially buy cosmetics in the shop. Fans can also expect to see a wide variety of balance changes, which could change the game’s meta for the second half of Season 1. This is all in addition to Human Torch and The Thing making their highly anticipated debut in the popular hero shooter.
