League of Legends: The Best Bot Laners
Summary
Table of Contents
- Bot Lane diversity in League of Legends has expanded to include marksmen, mages, and fighters, providing more strategic options.
- The best Bot Laners are subject to frequent meta shifts due to biweekly patches, requiring adaptation and experimentation.
- Key Bot Lane champions like Caitlyn, Ezreal, and Miss Fortune offer unique strengths and playstyles, appealing to a range of player preferences.
The Bot Lane in League of Legends is always going to be one of the most fun and chaotic due to having double the number of champions. While in the past, the Support protected and fought alongside ADCs or marksmen primarily, alternative Bot Laners, such as mages are much more common than they used to be.

League Of Legends: The Most Beginner Friendly Champions
Despite the age of League of Legends and its competitive scene, it remains one of the premier competitive games on the market right now.
As the tide is always shifting due to biweekly patches, the current best Bot Laners in League might not be on top for long, so now is the best time to play them. Some champions do manage to remain strong in the meta for extended periods of time though, especially if they are considered healthy.

9
Nilah
Win Rate: 52.8% – Pick Rate: 1.7%
Nilah somewhat falls into the fighter category in League of Legends, but that doesn’t stop players from stomping Bot Lane with her. The main reason why Nilah players can utterly snowball relates to her passive Jubilant Veil which grants Nilah some of the benefits her allies get from shields and healing.
In fact, pairing her with the tank support beast Taric is an exceptionally strong combination. Another of her strong abilities in Bot Lane is her W which can block auto attacks for a short time, which is often the opposing ADCs main way of dealing damage.
8
Twitch
Win Rate: 51.9% – Pick Rate: 4.9%
Twitch has some of the highest damage potential for team fights, especially if the enemy stands in a nice neat line for him to attack through. He does, however, need to acquire a number of items first to become strong. He also benefits from having enchanter Supports at his side, to keep him safe and buff up his damage. Lulu is traditionally a great pick for him.
While it is possible to farm and scale for the late game, the best Twitch players make use of his stealth to get ahead with sneaky kills and big roams to Mid Lane and the like.
7
Caitlyn
Win Rate: 49.8% – Pick Rate: 16.5%
With the longest range of all ADCs in League, Caitlyn is a Bot Lane bully who looks to get ahead and stay ahead, all from relative safety. While she attacks slowly in comparison with most other ADCs, each auto deals a lot of damage, especially if she has charged up a headshot, or an enemy is caught by her traps or net.
While some of Caitlyn’s combos and relentless pushing play style are best utilized by skilled mains who have mastered her, she is also easy to pick up, and anybody can use her ult to finish off kills.
6
Ezreal
Win Rate: 49.8% – Pick Rate: 18.8%
With almost every ability being a long-ranged projectile to throw at enemies, Ezreal is easily one of the most fun Bot Laners, but if players can’t hit their skill shots, he deals practically no damage. For those who can though, Ezreal becomes a potent threat at every stage of the game, from poking in lane to late-game teamfights.

In League Of Legends, these unlikely combinations can wreak havoc when played as bots, amplifying each other’s strengths and covering weaknesses.
Another strength of Ezreal’s in comparison with typical League ADCs, is his ability to escape danger instantly by pressing E. This keeps him safe from annoying Blitzcrank hooks in lane and other strong abilities. Later on and by hitting abilities, the cooldown of his escape tool is lowered, allowing for constant repositioning.
5
Kog’maw
Win Rate: 53.4% – Pick Rate: 2.3%
Kog’maw is one of the most immobile marksmen in the game, but is also capable of shredding through health bars with his lightning-fast attacks and percent health damage. Therefore, players must toe the line between safety and danger with top-tier kiting to get the most out of him.
He typically only requires one item to come online and performs much better alongside supports who can increase his damage, or grant him more movement speed. Kog’maw also has a few skill shots, particularly his ult, which can finish off enemies from range.
4
Vayne
Win Rate: 52.7% – Pick Rate: 4.8%
While Vayne is certainly among the hardest League champions to pilot, those who are able to make use of her mobility, often take over the game, especially once she has a few items. Her short range can make the early stages of the game tough when facing longer-ranged Bot Lane combos, but the narrow lane also presents her with plenty of opportunities to stun enemies into the walls with her E.
If Vayne is able to emerge from the early game relatively unscathed, she can then start to take over fights by weaving in and out, especially with her ult, which makes her invisible every time she tumbles with Q. Vayne also excels at taking down tanks, thanks to her Silver Bolts, which deal damage based on HP every third attack.
3
Corki
Win Rate: 51.3% – Pick Rate: 11%
For years after his rework, Corki has been mostly absent from the Bot Lane, finding a new home in Mid Lane as a mix between a marksmen and mage. However, the Daring Bombardier is now back in Bot, and perhaps here to stay. Like many of the best ADCs in League, Corki has good scaling and can dish out a plane load of damage.
His early game is far from weak, and actually one of his strongest phases of the game, even if this may come as a surprise to veterans. He is able to poke enemies from a safe distance, and against engage or ganks, he always has his W to fly out. Alternatively, he can use Valkyrie to follow up on his own support’s engages, and with Sheen or a Trinity Force, his damage at this stage is some of the best.
2
Jinx
Win Rate: 51.3% – Pick Rate: 18.2%
Jinx will always be one of the most popular ADCs, a fact that her starring role in Arcane has consolidated. She is known as one of the premier hyper carries, capable of taking over teamfights with ramping power and speed after every kill thanks to her passive – Get Excited!

League of Legends has a variety of interesting skins for players to try. These are some of the best on offer.
By switching to her AOE rockets, Jinx has increased range and can damage multiple foes at once, or alternatively, her minigun can shred through tanks, towers, and epic monsters. If that isn’t enough, her long-range ult can always finish the job off. While one of Jinx’s weaknesses is her lack of mobility, she can slow down pursuers with her W or cut them off entirely with her Chomper traps.
1
Miss Fortune
Win Rate: 53% – Pick Rate: 16.9%
Miss Fortune is often among the best Bot Laners in League thanks to her strong presence in lane and team fighting potential. By using her Q – Love Tap on low-health minions, she is able to chunk enemy laners, while also slowing them with her E. Each of her autos also packs a punch, especially if she alternates targets to proc her passive damage.
Her most infamous ability, however, is her ultimate which fires bullets for several seconds in a large cone, annihilating any foes who have been trapped by her support or other allies. The best MF players always find the perfect angle for this with great positioning.
