Gojo has always been the most popular character of Jujutsu Kaisen, Gege Akutami’s popular

manga.

As many fans know, the series came to an end in late 2024, and the final volume of Jujutsu Kaisen followed a few months in, around Christmas, on the 25th of December, 2024.

For the occasion of the final manga volume release, Gege made this illustration of Gojo Satoru. Fans can see it here:

The illustration features Gojo in his earlier design of the series, unlike what he was seen wearing in the final arc of JJK. The illustration is dated 24.12.2024, on Christmas Eve, which is one day before the release of the final volume.

Despite Gojo being illustrated for the occasion of the release of Jujutsu Kaisen’s final volume, which would be volume 30, Gojo actually does not appear in volume other than in flashbacks. Indeed, Gojo died back in chapter 236 in his fight against Sukuna.

Nevertheless, it makes sense that Gege would draw an illustration of Gojo, as he is one of the biggest reasons that Jujutsu Kaisen became as popular as it is today and has a massive fan base.

Gojo in the Epilogue of JJK

Gojo Does Not Appear in the Epilogue

In addition to the final volume of JJK, Gege dropped a 16-page epilogue for fans, adding some short stories covering a few characters. While it was theorized by some that Gojo would appear, fans were disappointed to know that he was nowhere to be seen. The closest thing was Gojo being mentioned by Nobara, whom he had asked to reconnect with her mother.

Jujutsu Kaisen’s last chapter, JJK 271, was finally released on September 29, 2024. Fans can read the series on the Manga Plus and the Shonen Jump apps.
