How to Solve the Medallion Puzzle in Poppy Playtime Chapter 4
Poppy Playtime: Chapter 4 gives the player even more insight into the lore of the place that they are stuck in: Playtime Co. It explores the story of the Doctor, and goes further in-depth regarding the fate of the children and dolls that inhabit it.
After the third autosave in the Objective: Escape the Prison, the player will find themselves in a large area without much adorning the surrounding walls. However, there will be a control room-like area, with a corridor leading behind it. In the corridor, they will find a door with an empty slot on top of it. This is the beginning of the Medallion Puzzle in Poppy Playtime Chapter 4, and this guide is here to help you solve it.

Where to Find the Medallion During the Prison Escape in Poppy Playtime Chapter 4
In that same corridor, there are five rooms. Two to the player’s left, two to the right, and one right in front of them. The four doors on either side of the corridor are unlocked, while the one in front of the player is locked, with the empty slot on top of it.
Three of the four rooms will have medallions that can potentially open the door if slotted into the empty space. All of them look quite similar to one another, but only one really works. The one that players find in the furthest room on the left side will unlock the door if used. Another way players can distinguish this medallion is by checking the engraving on it. One of the other two will have stars instead of a laurel surrounding it, while the other one will have a chipped P.

Rewards for Opening The Door With The Medallion in Poppy Playtime Chapter 4
After players unlock the door, they will find a bright yellow VHS tape on the table in front of them. Additionally, they will also find a VHS player of the same color that can play this particular tape. Typically, these kinds of tapes contain key information regarding the lore of the world of Poppy Playtime, shedding light on the background of different characters and the events that occurred before the game started.
The yellow tape, in this case, contains an interesting dialogue between the Doctor, the main villain of this chapter, and the warden of the prison that the player is currently trapped inside. It details how the Doctor seemingly tricked the warden—or at the very least, took advantage of an uprising by the toys—to gain access to the omni-hand, a high security-clearance device that gave him a lot of power within the facility. This explains the Doctor’s ability to interfere with the player during the events of the game.
