How to Get Olroth's Resolve Ultimate Life Flask in Path of Exile 2
There are multiple ways to recover life in Path of Exile 2, ranging from passive regeneration, life-on-kill effects, life leech, and many others. However, the most reliable method of recovering HP is by using Life Flasks.
Olroth’s Resolve Ultimate Life Flask is the absolute best Life Flask players can obtain in PoE 2, and getting it is not an easy task. Players hoping to finalize their MF Endgame builds and create the ultimate map-clearing machine will want to obtain this unique item for the maximum efficiency possible.

Many of the Act 3 bosses in Path of Exile 2 will give players quite a run for their money. Here’s how they stack up.
How to Get Olroth’s Resolve Unique Life Flask in PoE 2
Olroth’s Resolve Ultimate Life Flask is an exclusive drop from Olroth, Origin of the Fall, the Expeditions pinnacle boss in PoE 2. Olroth can only be encountered during Level 79+ Expedition Logbook runs. Even then, Olroth’s appearance isn’t a guarantee, he shows up randomly. Luckily, his spawn rate is not very rare; roughly half of Level 79+ Logbooks will contain this boss fight.
Expedition Logbooks are rare drops obtainable in Expeditions maps in the endgame, either by defeating enemies spawned by the Detonations or by opening Excavated Chests. Once you have a Logbook of the appropriate level, you’ll need to talk to Dannig in your Hideout, select ‘Show Expeditions Map’, and put in the Logbook to access the maps where Olroth can spawn.
The Expeditions Atlas Tree has multiple nodes to increase the Logbook levels by +1. This can allow players to encounter Olroth using Level 78 (or below) Logbooks, ones that are much easier to obtain. Expedition Atlas points can only be earned by defeating Olroth in higher and higher difficulty Logbooks.
What Makes Olroth’s Resolve Ultimate Life Flask Good in PoE 2
The main reason Olroth’s Resolve is considered the best Life Flask for every single build out there is thanks to its inherent ability: Instant Recovery. Instant Recovery does what you would expect and applies the Flask’s Life Restoration as soon as the activation button is pressed instead of doing it over time like all other Flasks in the game. In Path of Exile 2, instant recovery is always better than recovery over time, so much so that in regular Life and Mana Flask, the Instant Recovery modifier is preferred over everything else, including Increased Recovery Rate and Increased Charges.
But where normal Ultimate Life Flasks can, at most, recover 30% of Life instantly, Olroth’s Resolve can restore 100%, which is why it is always better to have it than not.
Secondly, Olroth’s Resolve uses any excess healing and creates a guard layer that sits on top of life and Energy Shield as a buffer for 10 seconds. This means players can use a charge of their Life Flask to instantly gain a layer of 920 Guard before a fight even begins. This is incredibly helpful for surviving one-shot mechanics and on-death effects that would’ve killed the player otherwise.
