Starfield: Shattered Space adds a lot of new content beyond just the new planet to explore and story to experience. One noteworthy addition is the new grenades called Vortex Grenades, which have many variants for players to craft and use.
Unlike other grenades, these can only be crafted and will require players to explore the new content and get the new materials added to the game. For those wondering how to craft each kind of Vortex Grenade, look no further.
How To Craft Vortex Grenades In Starfield: Shattered Space
To get the crafting recipe for all five variants of Vortex Grenades, you’ll first need to begin the Shattered Space DLC and progress the main story until you finish the, “What Remains” quest. At the end of the quest you’ll be talking to Ekris Kaisir, with who you can ask, “If you’ve got something that can help me, I’d appreciate that” which will give you the crafting recipes for all five Vortex Grenades.
These can be crafted at any Industrial Workbench in the game, with one being found on Dazra. From the spaceport, head into the city and go up the right staircase past the large monument. Following the path to the right, look to the left side of the road for a small silver building with an Industrial Workbench inside along with some shelves. The five Vortex Grenade recipes are:

Which Vortex Grenade Is Best
Vortex Shards and Vortex Cysts are rare items that players will want to value once acquired. The Lure grenade can be useful when fighting other enemies, as it will spawn a fairly powerful enemy that will not only damage those it can reach but also distract them and add some chaos in a fight you can take advantage of. The Charge grenade deals a decent amount of damage though it is the least flashy one to use in terms of particle effects, but deals good damage overall.
