Table of Contents
A Walk On The Wild Side is started by talking to the painter in the back corner of Gallopolis in Dragon Quest 11: Echoes Of An Elusive Age. He will ask you to defeat a Spizfire using the Pep Power Wild Side in order to inspire him.
This quest can be completed later in the game if you want to come back when you’re at a higher level, as this quest will require some precise timing to make sure the finishing blow is dealt with the Pep Power; here’s how to do it and where to find a Spizfire.

Where To Find A Spizfire In Dragon Quest 11
A Spizfire spawns in The Celestial Sands, a location just north of Gallopolis. Leaving the city, follow the main road west before it turns north and goes through the Celestial Sands Checkpoint. Head past the ancient ruins and continue to the small alcove on the map in the upper section of the region. The Spizfire can be found curled up sleeping by a rock, making approaching and attacking first very easy if you’re quick.

How To Beat A Spizfire With Wild Side In Dragon Quest 11
Wild Side is a Pep Power that is used by the Luminary, Erik, and Serena. You’ll of course need all three of them in a Pep state at the same time to use the power, which can be done with items or simply guarding and waiting for them all to reach that state. The main goal of the quest is to defeat Spizfire with that Pep Power, which is a massive buff for Erik that also allows him to attack twice.
To be safe, attack the Spizfire a few times to try and get it weaker, and also use Divide on Erik before using the Pep Power. With the right build, you can set him up to do lots of damage even in a single turn. Using Wild Side on Erik boasts the following stats:
- Agility by two ranks.
- Attack by two ranks.
- Defense by two ranks.
To help make sure you deal the finishing blow with Erik, try putting the Spizfire to sleep before his turn, or by using Sleeper Hit, then follow up with Persecutter if the Spizfire is asleep to deal massive damage.
