How Many Acts Are In Divinity: Original Sin 2
Though it might not be as successful or as popular as Baldur’s Gate 3, Divinity: Original Sin 2 is the Larian Studios game that really propelled them into the limelight, enjoying a decent level of success in the RPG community. Released in 2017, DOS 2 is, in many ways, everything that you would expect from the studio that went on to make BG 3.
It has a ridiculously large world with secrets hidden everywhere, it has long quests that tie into the main story if the player pursues them till the end, and it has incredibly satisfying turn-based combat that will make the player question why they ever thought real-time combat was good. It’s nearing a decade since the game first launched, but it still holds up in today’s gaming landscape.

How Many Acts are in Divinity: Original Sin 2?
The game is divided into different acts such that players gain access to new locations in each act, and lose access to the previous one. There is no way to go back to a previous act after players have finished it, meaning you should make sure you complete as many quests as possible and explore everything you can before moving on to the next region.
In total, there are five acts in the game. The first two acts make up the biggest chunk in terms of gameplay and exploration, while the last three acts are less dense, and players can skip most of the encounters and quests in them to finish the game. The final act is the finale of the entire series that decides the ending. Choices made in previous acts dictate what kind of ending the player gets, and decides what the fate of the world will be.

How Long to Beat Divinity: Original Sin 2
As a mostly open-world RPG, DOS 2 doesn’t restrict the player in any way. You can make the game as hard or as easy on yourself as you want, and you can skip as much of the content as you want, if you’re up for the challenge. Depending on how much of each act you play, players will spend 50–150 hours finishing the game.
If you blitz through the game while skipping optional quests and redundant main quests, it will only take around 50 hours. However, if you take your time exploring the world and completing side quests, the game will take more than 100 hours. Players will spend the biggest chunk of time in Act 1 and Act 2 as they contain the biggest chunk of content. The last three acts won’t take nearly as long, though they are enjoyable, nevertheless.
