The developer has informed players that this will be available for only five days. However, Helldivers 2 players can look forward to part two of the crossover, which will be released on December 23.

Helldivers 2 is a cooperative third-person shooter that puts players in charge of defending Super Earth from alien threats. Recently, a datamine revealed hints about premium content called “Righteous Revenants,” which was rumored to feature Killzone-inspired armor sets in Helldivers 2, along with weapons and other items. Fans of both series were thrilled at the idea of a crossover, combining Killzone‘s gritty, war-torn aesthetic with the cooperative gameplay of Helldivers 2. Those rumors have now been officially confirmed.

Arrowhead explained on a blog post that the Killzone 2 collaboration is part of a new Helldivers 2 premium content tier that will focus on unique, carefully chosen themes. The developer highlighted that these crossovers will be rare and only pursued when they feel like a natural fit for the game’s world. This collaboration also brings a community challenge linked to the Helldivers 2 Galactic War, where players can earn extra Killzone-themed rewards based on the group’s overall success.

How Long Will the Killzone Cosmetic Be Available?

It will be available for five days, with the second wave of content launching on December 23.

Alongside this event, Arrowhead is testing longer item rotations in the Helldivers 2 Superstore, to address player concerns about how quickly items disappear. For the duration of the event, each page of items will stay available for five days, giving players more time to grab the gear they want, while the second wave of content will arrive on December 23.

Killzone 2 is a first-person shooter developed by Guerrilla Games and released for the PlayStation 3 in 2009. The story revolved around an elite Alpha Squad that battled in a war between the Interplanetary Strategic Alliance and the Helghast Empire.
