In a December interview, the game’s director, Sebastian Kalemba, explained that CD Projekt Red’s ambition for The Witcher 4 was “crazily high,” as the developers were utilizing everything they had learned from developing both The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077. Malgorzata Mitrega, the title’s executive producer, also promised that the studio was working hard to ensure that The Witcher 4 lives up to fan expectations, given the largely positive reaction to its initial trailer. The game is being created using Unreal Engine 5, with over 400 staff members currently said to be working on the project.
