Genshin Impact Chart Shows 5-Star Waiting List for Version 5.1
Key Takeaways
- A Genshin Impact player has created a chart revealing the 5-star waiting list for Version 5.1
- Shenhe surpasses Eula’s record by not being featured in over 14 versions in Genshin Impact Version 5.1.
- Developers struggle to balance Event Banners, causing some characters to wait more than 500 days.
The Genshin Impact waiting list for Version 5.1 is out, and rather distressingly, it reveals that Shenhe has officially passed Eula’s record by not being featured in over 14 versions. While the world of Teyvat has often been praised for its open world content, it’s ultimately the characters that are the stars of Genshin Impact. Throughout its history, Genshin Impact‘s colorful cast was expanded by fan favorites such as Nahida, Neuvillette, and Navia.
While Genshin Impact players welcomed the new characters with excitement, it also meant that the developers had a harder time keeping the schedule of the Event Banners balanced. Less popular characters were bound to pay the price, as Eula famously went over 500 days without a banner appearance in Genshin Impact. In Version 5.1, not only will Ganyu join the 500-day club, but Shenhe will also shatter Eula’s record of 568 days.
The waiting list chart was made by RapidFresh and shared on the Genshin Impact subreddit, taking into account the recently confirmed Event Banners for Version 5.1 – where Xilonen, Chiori, Nahida, and Hu Tao will be the featured characters. While Version 5.1 introduced Xilonen to Genshin Impact, out of the other three characters, only Hu Tao missed significant time on the Event Banners, having last featured during Version 4.1.

It’s no secret that the absence of Shenhe and Ganyu has frustrated the Genshin Impact community, especially since the pair were given premium outfits in Version 4.4. Furthermore, Wriothesley’s extended vacation from the Event Banners makes it plain that the developers aren’t quite sure what to do with Cryo characters in Genshin Impact. Whereas Navia, Chiori, and Xilonen have addressed most of the major shortcomings of Geo, Cryo remains in a rather dire spot by comparison.
That being said, HoYoverse has hardly given up on the element, as Citlali in Genshin Impact is rumored to be a 5-Star Cryo Catalyst, with an ability kit of a premium Shield Support. In addition to Citlali, Capitano was shown to use Cryo during the events of Version 5.0, and while leaks are still uncertain about his status as a playable character during the Natlan era, the Fatui Harbinger will most likely be a 5-Star Cryo Sword hypercarry when he is released. While only Chasca and Wanderer are rumored for Version 5.2, players shouldn’t expect Ganyu and Shenhe until the next Lantern Rite. On the other hand, a banner appearance for Tartaglia and Zhongli seems likely, with the latter being guaranteed due to his status as an Archon.
