In February 2024, Konami announced the Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection as part of the planned festivities to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise. All games in the upcoming compilation title were initially released between 1998 and 2004 for the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, or Game Boy Advance, with one title hitting shelves before the physical card game was even released in Japan.
