Fortnite: Chapter 5 Season 4 NPC Map Locations
Gamers will find various characters on the Fortnite Battle Royale island, and they all add something unique to the game. There are two types of NPCs in Fortnite, friendly characters that provide helpful services and hostile characters that will shoot on sight. Even though gamers might feel inclined to only approach the friendly folk on the island, both types can be crucial to getting a Victory Royale.

There are hostile NPCs on the island as well, but this doesn’t mean that you should avoid them altogether, as most of them have a valuable reward that can impact the rest of the match.
Medallion Bosses Locations in Fortnite
As soon as players start the match, markers will appear on each player’s map. These markers indicate the presence of a Medallion Boss that has not been challenged yet.
There are three medallions on the map, each providing a unique ability that only its carrier can yield. Medallion Bosses can be found at the following locations in Fortnite:
- Doombot: Doom Castle
- Emma Frost: The Raft
- Mysterio: Doomstadt
Bosses have minions who will attempt to protect them, so to avoid losing too much health, players should take them out before trying to defeat the boss. Once defeated, the boss will drop a Medallion and unique Mythic weapons.
Forecast Tower Boss Locations in Fortnite
On top of this, there are Forecast Towers on the map near Reclaimed Villa and Dumpenhausen. Before the second Storm Circle begins to close, three hostile NPCs will spawn near these locations.
Players can take them out in order to collect the boss’s Epic-rarity Striker Burst Rifle and secure the forecast, which will allow them to see the next Storm Circle before it’s revealed.
Latverian Tactical Grunt Locations in Fortnite
There are several locations where players can find Latverian Tactical Grunts, also known as Doom’s Henchmen. These grunts protect hostile NPCs on the island, such as the Forecast Tower mini-bosses and Medallion Bosses, but they can be found at several Latverian Dig sites in Fortnite.
Not only do they tend to protect Doom Chests with valuable loot but they can also come in handy for other purposes; since these NPCs are quite weak and their AI isn’t as smart as the Medallion Boss’s, they’re the perfect target to use for quests where gamers have to inflict damage upon any type of opponent. Here is where to find Latverian Tactical Grunts in Fortnite:
- Dig sites
- Northeast of Rebel’s Roost
- Northwest of The Underworld
- South of Grim Gate
- The Ol’ Mill, southeast of Doomstadt
- North of Grand Glacier
- West of Summit Temple, northeast of Mount Olympus
- Northeast of Nitrodrome
- East of Brawler’s Battleground
- Sandy Steppes
- Forecast Towers
- Hill north of Dumpenhausen
- Hill north of Snooty Station
- Boss Medallion POIs:
- The Raft
- Doomstadt
- Doom Castle
