Or, if you’re simply stuck on how to get started or what to do during the day of the event, this Shooting Star Festival guide will help point you in the right direction.
Fields Of Mistria Shooting Star Festival Guide
How To Start The Shooting Star Festival
Fields of Mistria‘s Shooting Star Festival takes place on Day 28 of summer in the game’s seasonal structure. To begin the Shooting Star Festival, you should reach this point in the year and exit your house on the day of the festival to trigger a cutscene with Elsie, who will tell you about the event. Else also asks if you want to bring anyone along to watch the stars. There are two dialogue responses to choose from, as follows:
- Yes! Please tell me more!
- I would prefer to watch them alone.
If you choose to invite someone, Elsie will tell you about the Star Brooch, which you’ll need to bring along a date to the festival and meet them from 8 pm onwards that day. If you choose the second option, Elsie will tell you to head to Fields of Mistria‘s Summit from 8 pm onwards for the event. You’ll still get the Brooch, but she won’t tell you more about it.
After speaking with Elsie, the Shooting Star Festival quest appears in your journal, and you also get a letter in your mailbox from Josephine giving you three Shooting Star Festival recipes to prepare, if you wish, as follows:
- Star Cushion
- Star Lantern
- Star Viewing Blanket
If you’ve played
Fields of Mistria
for some time and have passed summer already, you could either reload a previous save file to Day 28 or restart the season.
How To Invite A Date To The Shooting Star Festival In Fields of Mistria
For a bit of cozy romance watching the Shooting Star Festival with a date, you need at least four or more hearts in your relationship with your chosen NPC. You can see how many hearts you have with each character in your journal. To invite someone to the Shooting Star Festival, approach them with the Star Broach equipped and press the ‘G’ button to ask them. When you have at least four hearts with that character, the NPC will accept your invitation. You can then meet from 8 pm to begin the festival and trigger a cutscene with your date at the Summit, as pictured on the map above.
If you don’t have enough hearts, the NPC will decline your invitation. And if you don’t have enough hearts with any of Fields of Mistria‘s romanceable characters, you won’t be able to bring along a date, as it needs to be with someone you know well. Fortunately, there is an alternative option.
To unlock the Summit in
Fields of Mistria
, you need to complete the Beautification Project main story quest. Going to the Shooting Star Festival will also end your day, so make sure you’ve done everything you want to do before going to the event.
How To Attend The Shooting Star Festival Alone In Fields Of Mistria
If you don’t have enough hearts or aren’t interested in romance, an alternative option is to attend the festival alone. If you told Elsie you want to attend the Shooting Star Festival alone, simply head to the Summit after 8 pm to trigger a scene of you viewing the stars alone. You can also take part in the festival alone even if you originally said you wanted to bring someone.
If you attend the festival alone, you’ll see a cutscene of the meteor shower, and nothing else happens other than a message saying you should head home. Therefore, attending the festival with a date could be more rewarding.
