Dragon Ball: These Fusions Would Change The Series

One of the best and most beloved aspects of the Dragon Ball franchise is fusion; a concept that merges incredibly powerful warriors into a single fighter who is far stronger than either of their constituents. The most notable examples of this are Vegito and Gogeta, who have been relied upon whenever Goku and Vegeta have come across a villain who is far too strong for either of them to face alone or even together, prompting them to join and magnify their powers.

Although Gogeta and Vegito are definitely the most beloved and popular of the fusions in Dragon Ball, they’re far from being the only ones. With where power scaling has reached in the series, characters are far stronger now than they have ever been before, so fans have been theorizing just how powerful some potential fusions can be. So, let’s take a look at some of these speculative fusions and try to gauge how strong they likely are.

Ultra Vegito/Ultra Gogeta

The Strongest Versions of Goku and Vegeta’s Fusions

Ever since Super began, fans had been clamoring to see both of Goku and Vegeta’s fusions make a return to the franchise, which eventually happened in the Goku Black arc for Vegito and the Broly film for Gogeta. Since these fusions were now able to transform into Super Saiyan Blue, fans always wondered how these transformations would work with Goku and Vegeta’s strongest forms; Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego respectively.

Many believe that if either fusion were to ever happen, it would create the perfect warrior, the most powerful mortal in the entire multiverse, perhaps even stronger than the Destroyer Gods. Either this fusion would be able to use both Divine Techniques or use only the one belonging to whoever their personality seems to match more. For example, Vegito could use Ultra Ego due to leaning more toward Vegeta’s personality, whereas Gogeta would use Ultra Instinct for the opposite reason.

Broly And Gohan’s Fusion

The Power of Beast Gohan and Full Power Super Saiyan Broly

Broly’s first-ever appearance in the franchise was the non-canon Z movie with his name. However, he was eventually made canon in the incredible 2018 film, where he was shown to be so powerful that neither Goku nor Vegeta could even hope to damage him, prompting them to fuse into Gogeta. On the other hand, Gohan has always been built up as the Saiyan with the greatest latent potential and has routinely left everyone else in the dust by realizing his innate power.

The reason why a fusion between these two characters is perfect is because of the similarities they share. Both are two of the few surviving Saiyans in the universe and they both owe their power to their incredible potential which allows them to close the gap between them and others with relatively less effort. Even during their spar in Chapter 103 of the Super manga, Vegeta remarked how similar they were, perhaps alluding to a fusion in the future. If this happens, he may even be stronger than even Gogeta and Vegito.

Krillin With Any Other Human

A Way To Make The Humans Relevant Again

One of the series’ best characters that fans feel has been on the sidelines for far too long is Krillin, Goku’s childhood best friend and former rival. Krillin is the strongest human in the entire world but is far too weak compared to the Saiyans, so to have him fuse with other human characters would be a great way to bring him back into the limelight and expand the series a bit too.

Although the resulting fusion would likely still be weaker than even Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta, it would still be a massive upgrade to the strength of the human characters. The most likely candidate for Krillin to fuse with is Tien considering he’s the strongest human after Krillin, but others such as Yamcha and Master Roshi are also a good option due to their years of expertise as Martial Artists.

Granolah And Jiren’s Merger

A Fusion of the Strongest in Their Universes

Perhaps the most controversial on this list, Granolah and Jiren’s fusion is one that would certainly send waves throughout the multiverse. Although members of different species probably can’t fuse since there isn’t any notable example in the series, if it is indeed possible and Jiren fuses with Granolah, the resulting warrior will likely be the most powerful mortal in the multiverse, easily rivaling perhaps even Gogeta and Vegito in terms of sheer offensive output.

The combination of the most powerful mortal from Universe 11 and one of the strongest from Universe 7 who was able to overpower Ultra Instinct Goku is sure to set the multiverse ablaze. However, the ways for this to happen are completely up to speculation. Perhaps, the final arc of the series will have an ultimate evil that needs the most powerful version of the heroes across the multiverse to defeat, although this would be the definition of fan-service!
