Dragon Ball Daima Episode 20: Release Date & Where to Watch
Summary
Table of Contents
- Dragon Ball Daima’s final episode airs on February 28, 2025, marking the end of the series.
- Fans can expect adult Goku to fight as SSJ4, and hope for Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta or Gogeta in the finale.
- Producer hints at no Season 2 for Daima, but a new Dragon Ball anime may be announced soon.
Dragon Ball Daima is only one episode away from its conclusion. Akira Toriyama’s swan song has been a great ride, especially for fans of the classic Dragon Ball and DBGT, and a good addition to the series’ lore.
While it seemed, mostly during mid-season, that Daima was losing its momentum, the past few episodes were full of surprises, including Vegeta unlocking Super Saiyan 3 for the first time in the franchise and the return of the SSJ4 transformation, which for now is exclusive to Goku. The next episode is the final one, so read on to learn when and where it will be out.

Dragon Ball Daima Episode 20 Release Date and Time
Daima Episode 20, the series finale, will be out on February 28, 2025, if no sudden delays take place. As usual, the episode will air in Japan a few hours before hitting international streaming platforms, so those who want to avoid spoilers should be careful when using social media next Friday.
Where to Watch The Series
Episodes air in Japan at 11:40 PM (6:40 AM PT / 9:00 AM ET), then they hit Crunchyroll at 8:45 AM (PT) / 11:45 AM (ET), with English subs. They also hit Hulu at about the same time.
Crunchyroll also adds subtitles in other languages, but they may arrive later than the English subs. For those in other countries, here are some time references (for the US Crunchyroll schedule):

- Colombia: 11:45 AM

What to Expect from the Series Finale
Episode 19 ended with adult Goku finally turning into SSJ4 in the final battle against Gomah. Well, the battle will end in the next episode since it is the last one, but we still might see some surprises.
As adult Vegeta transformed into SSJ3, fans are expecting he might also unlock SSJ4. Others want even more: they hope to see Gogeta SSJ4, just like in Dragon Ball GT. Neither of these theories seem to be farfetched, but we’ll have to wait and see. What seems to be certain is that the episode will deliver loads of action with great animation, just like it did in the final minutes of Episode 19.
The Future of Dragon Ball
No Season 2 has been confirmed yet, and, in a recent interview, producer Akio Iyuko made it sound like there are no plans for a sequel, at least for now. However, he also stated that Daima wasn’t created as part of the 40th anniversary celebrations. This means that we might see a new anime announcement soon, be it a movie, a new series or something else.
Fans have been waiting for a Dragon Ball Super Season 2 since the series ended in 2018. There seems to be no reason not to continue Super, as there is lots of content to be adapted from the manga.
Dragon Ball Daima is available on Crunchyroll and Hulu (simulcast) in the US. Other services might stream new episodes at later dates.
