Disney Dreamlight Valley released its Jungle Getaway update on October 9, having two more characters from The Lion King, Timon and Pumbaa, join the previously released Simba, Nala, and Scar. Some Disney Dreamlight Valley Players Aren’t Happy With the New Star Path
Some Disney Dreamlight Valley fans take to social media to voice their complaints about the new Star Path announced for October 2024.
While letting Disney Dremlight Valley players unlock Timon and Pumbaa has been a hotly requested feature among the game’s fan base for several months, it seems that the update hasn’t come without other issues. Some players have reported that after installing the Jungle Getaway update, they have been experiencing a number of problems in the game, including a noticeable increase in lag. The hotfix update was announced on the game’s official Twitter page at 10 a.m. EST on October 11, and the social media team reminded players that they may need to wait up to two hours for any updates to become available on their consoles. While these issues don’t seem to be exclusive to PlayStation consoles, and some players have asked for similar updates on Xbox consoles and Nintendo Switch, Gameloft has only announced them for PlayStation so far.
Disney Dreamlight Valley October 11 PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 Hotfix Notes
- Optimizations to resolve issues causing visual stuttering and lagging gameplay.
While Disney Dreamlight Valley has come a long way since launch, hitting Early Access in September 2022, it seems to be continuing to experience growing pains. With its regular content updates, the game now boasts a roster of more than 40 different Disney characters that can call the valley their home. Still, with the newest update, players are issuing complaints about a number of topics, such as freezing issues while trying to progress though The Night Show Star Path, control issues when trying to place furniture, and all-out crashes when trying to redeem rewards.
The next big event will be the return of Halloween to Disney Dreamlight Valley. While many players were expecting a spooky Star Path with the launch of Jungle Getaway, Gameloft instead announced that the third-annual Trick-or-Treat event will be coming back to the game later in October, with at least one new reward on the way. That event is scheduled to begin October 23 and will run through October 31.
