Cooking is one of the basic mechanics in Gameloft’s 2022 life sim Disney Dreamlight Valley. With more than 300 different recipes, there’s always something new to cook.

But to whip up these tasty meals, players will need to get a stove first. If you’re not sure how to get one, keep reading this guide to find out.

How To Get A Stove In Disney Dreamlight Valley

Like the Royal Tools, players will unlock the stove pretty early in the game. You can get it during Mickey’s story quest, Foodception, which teaches you the basics of cooking in the game. In this quest, Mickey asks the player to make Fruit Salad and Crackers because he is missing Minnie. You will already have the fruit salad recipe from his previous ‘Mickey’s Memories’ quest, and now he’ll give you Wheat Seeds and a Recipe Book to help you make Crackers.

First, dig three holes using the Royal Shovel and plant the Wheat Seeds. Then, players will need to use the recipe book to check the ingredients for Crackers. After that, Mickey will ask you to water the seeds with the Royal Watering Can so they can grow.

After watering the wheat seeds, return them to Mickey, who’ll ask you to gather all the ingredients for the fruit salad and crackers. When you do that, meet him at your house, and he’ll give you a White Gas Stove. Once the stove is added to your furniture collection, place it anywhere in your home, and you are good to go.

If you want more than one stove, you can buy another at Scrooge McDuck’s Shop. His store is in the Plaza near the water fountain, and a Stove costs 1,380 Star Coins there. The store’s stock resets daily at 8:00 AM UTC / 4:00 AM EST / 1:00 AM PST, so if it’s not there, check back later.

In addition to that, DDV players can craft many different types of stoves at a crafting station:

Once you have your stove, you can start cooking your meals. These meals can then be sold at Goofy’s stall for many Star Coins or consumed to restore energy points.
