Disney Dreamlight Valley 2025 Character Wish List
Disney Dreamlight Valley has added a wide plethora of characters since release in 2022. Character additions are always welcome to the simulation game, but these Disney characters in particular should make an appearance in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
With the announcement of Disney Dreamlight Valley’s new “Storybook Vale” DLC, the possibilities for character addition have expanded greatly. This is especially true since only one character was confirmed for the second half of the DLC’s release. Since other characters will allegedly be included in this second release, called “The Unwritten Realms,” turning to information known about the Unwritten Realms release and Storybook Vale’s other half, “Welcome to the Vale”, could point players in the direction of which of their character predictions could become reality.

Fan expectations and theories for Disney Dreamlight Valley’s 2024 Halloween event were a bit too on the nose, leading to disappointment.
Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Storybook Vale DLC Could Introduce Hercules
The two big bads of the Storybook Vale DLC have been confirmed to be Hades, from Disney’s Hercules, and Maleficent, from Disney’s Sleeping Beauty. While he wouldn’t be included in Welcome to the Vale, as it’s being released on November 20, Hercules is obviously the perfect hero to take Hades down.
Welcome to the Vale is introducing three new biomes, including an area called Mythtopia. This would be the perfect place for Hercules to reside alongside or fight Hades. A Magical Edition of the DLC is also being released and includes several fun items for players to enjoy. One of these items is a Baby Pegasus Companion & House. While companions are obviously cute creatures that follow players around, it would still be cool to see Baby Pegasus hanging out with Hercules.
There is some precedent for adding new characters from films already introduced to Disney Dreamlight Valley. In fact, Welcome to the Vale will add Flynn Rider from Disney’s Tangledwith the film’s protagonist, Rapunzel, already added to the game in the Rift in Time DLC. Considering Flynn Rider’s addition, Hercules should be introduced to the Valley without any issues.
Storybook Vale DLC Could Also Introduce More Sleeping Beauty Characters
A similar move should be made for Aurora, the titular character of Disney’s Sleeping Beauty. All the Disney Princesses currently included in Disney Dreamlight Valley (Belle, Anna, Elsa, Moana, Mulan, Ariel, Tiana, Rapunzel, and Merida) come from the Disney Renaissance or onward. This leaves a large disparity between the number of characters from the Disney Renaissance in general and characters from earlier in Disney’s history, like the Golden Age.
The addition of Maleficent is an excellent time for Disney Dreamlight Valley to bridge this gap. Released in 1959, Disney’s Sleeping Beauty was released during the company’s Silver Age or Restoration Era. While some may not find the character of Aurora as interesting as other Disney princesses, this gap needs to be bridged in some way and her addition seems plausible. The only other “older” Disney characters in Disney Dreamlight Valley are the Fairy Godmother, Merlin, Oswald, and Mickey & Friends. The addition of Maleficent may help this issue, but her introduction should bring along other character additions as well.
Rather than Aurora, perhaps the three fairies – Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather. They could hold similar roles to the Fairy Godmother but have various different interactions with each other in a Powerpuff Girls sort of way. These characters are truthfully more active than Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, meaning their skill sets or plot lines will be easier to realize.
Tinkerbell Should Fly to the Valley
Speaking of fairies, Tinkerbell’s exclusion from Disney Dreamlight Valley is a bit mind-boggling. For a period of time, Tinkerbell was practically a mascot for the Disney company. Though she wasn’t elevated to the same level as Mickey Mouse, her and Jiminy Cricket were seen as brand icons.
Outside of Peter Pan, Tinkerbell has even spawned her own unique universe with her line of direct to DVD films, books, and the now defunct Pixie Hollow MMO role-playing game. Pixie Hollow in particular has a similar level of nostalgia in the cultural zeitgeist as games like Club Penguin. It’s surprising that Disney hasn’t added her to Disney Dreamlight Valley yet, considering the resurgence of 2000s media like the direct to DVD Barbie films.
Tinkerbell’s inclusion would also be another step in fixing the disparity between older Disney films and the massive wave of Disney Renaissance material in Disney Dreamlight Valley. It also opens a pathway for characters from the Tinkerbell films to be added to Dreamlight Valley, which could help make her addition still feel modern despite her original appearance in Peter Pan, a Silver Age film.

roadmap, it seems that Tinkerbell is a likely addition in Summer 2025 as the image features

characters to the Valley.
The Sensational Six Needs Their Sixth Member
Currently, only five members of the Sensational Six are included in Disney Dreamlight Valley. This moniker is given to Mickey and his friends Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy, Goofy, and Pluto, who is currently absent from Disney Dreamlight Valley’s character roster.
Pets have been added to Disney Dreamlight Valley before, like Moana’s chicken Hei Hei and her pig Pua. However, these animals have been added as companions rather than as characters. While adding Pluto as a character would be preferable, the fact that he isn’t at least a companion in the game is astonishing considering his status as a member of the Sensational Six.
Disney advertised Donald Duck’s 90th birthday heavily this past year with merchandise releases, an appearance on the web series Hot Ones, and much more. Pluto’s birthday is September 5, 1930. Perhaps in celebration of his 95th birthday, Pluto could finally be introduced to Disney Dreamlight Valley next fall.
Other Properties Could Visit the Valley
While Gameloft has focused primarily on including characters from Disney films specifically, rather than from its properties, characters from Pixar have been added to Disney Dreamlight Valley, including Mike Wazowski and Sulley from Monsters INC., WALL-E and EVE from WALL-E, and in the Story Vale DLC, Merida from Brave. This sets a precedent for characters from non-Disney Animation Studios films to be included in Disney Dreamlight Valley. While these characters are obviously well-loved, The Muppets deserve to have more time in the spotlight.
The inclusion of The Muppets is unlikely considering they’re a live action property, but adding the characters to the brand could revitalize the property significantly. Interest in The Muppets has skyrocketed, particularly on TikTok, so any new content surrounding the lovable creatures would be appreciated by fans.
