Diablo 4 has officially revealed its sixth season, which will kick off on October 7. With the seasonal system, Diablo 4 players are introduced to new content every few months, introducing mechanics, items, and systems.
In August, Diablo 4 started Season 5, and one of the biggest new features was the introduction of the Infernal Hordes game mode, bringing a roguelike experience to Sanctuary. Other major changes were a series of adjustments to all Unique items, an increase in the drop rate of Legendary items, and the Uber Uniques, now called Mythic Uniques. Players also explored new quests available in the Seasonal and Eternal Realms, and the new Hellbreach Dungeons. Now, as the season of the Infernal Hordes is winding down, players are preparing for what comes next.
After much anticipation, Diablo 4 has revealed Season 6, which will begin on October 7 at 4 pm PDT. Named “Season of Hatred Rising,” the big highlight is the return of Mephisto to the Diablo franchise, whose expansion of hatred has given rise to the new creatures known as Realmwalkers. The season will introduce a new quest called Creeping Hatred, in which players will learn how to defeat the Realmwalkers and use the power of the Seething Realms to acquire the new Seething Opals Elixir. From October 7, Diablo 4 will see the introduction of a range of progression improvements, such as adjustments to the way Paragon Points function.
Diablo 4 Reveals Season 6 and the Return of Mephisto’s Threat
Players can celebrate, as Season of Hatred will finally introduce the long-awaited party finder, allowing them to find other players according to game type and activity. Another change that promises to impact gameplay is the addition of one new skill and passive for each Diablo 4 class, expanding build possibilities. As usual, a new Season Journey will begin, and with it, players will unlock rewards such as Resplendent Spark, Shepard of Hollows Mount Trophy, and Seething Opals. The new Battle Pass will have 90 tiers of rewards, 28 free and 62 premium, and three new Blessings called Urn of Opals, Urn of Remnant, and Urn of Curiosities.
The arrival of the sixth season is an exciting moment for Diablo 4 players for another reason, as the Vessel of Hatred launch will take place on the same day and time. With Diablo 4‘s first expansion, players will travel to Nahantu and fight new monstrosities, along with explore new side quests, dungeons, and strongholds. A new campaign will be available, along with the debut of the new Spiritborn class and the Mercenary companions.
