CoD Black Ops 6: Best FOV Settings
The field of view (FOV) in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is an area many players will overlook before loading into multiplayer matches. Treyarch’s sixth entry into the Black Ops series is packed with new maps, including one with a functioning diving board, and having a clear view of the surrounding area is key to success.
Black Ops 6 contains a wealth of options players can customize to extract the best performance. Here, find the best Black Ops 6 FOV settings to use in multiplayer and Zombies.

Best Black Ops 6 FOV Settings
After testing various combinations, these FOV settings are an excellent baseline players can choose to use or fine-tune further to their own personal preferences.
- Motion Reduction Preset: Off
- Field of View: 100
- ADS Field of View: Affected
- Weapon Field of VIew: Wide
- 3rd Person Field of View: 90
- Vehicle Field of View: Default
Having tested the furthest FOV settings, using 100 allows players to see more of the map without distorting their vision. An FOV of 120 feels far too wide and compresses the map.
Switching to Affected and Wide FOV also enables players to enhance their awareness even further. When aiming, more of the map outside of the iron sights or scope is on show, making it much easier to see any incoming threats.
How To Change FOV
Finding the FOV options in Black Ops 6 can be confusing for those unfamiliar with the menu layout. Here’s how to access the settings:
- Launch Black Ops 6.
- Open the Settings by selecting the cog icon in the top-right of the screen.
- Select the Graphics tab.
- Find the FOV settings under the View tab.
- Adjust the slider to the preferred FOV.
- Select Show More to ADS Field of View and Weapon Field of View options.
Does FOV Make A Difference?
Adjusting FOV in Black Ops 6 can affect performance in multiplayer matches. Whether it’s PC or consoles, adjusting these settings to see more of the action is a surefire way of improving overall awareness, especially on maps with long lines of sight and areas where enemies can appear out of nowhere.
Before attempting to adjust FOV settings during a match with other players, we recommend loading into a private match or the training course to fine-tune the settings without the risk of affecting that all-important K/D ratio. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 features numerous settings players can adjust, but the FOV remains one of the most important to optimize in order to maximize performance on the virtual battlefield.
