Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Players Disappointed By Absence of Classic Mode in Season 2 Reloaded
Summary
- Hardcore players frustrated with being left out of Season 2 Reloaded playlists.
- Treyarch may not want to split the player base with additional Hardcore options.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 community is sharing its frustrations after the popular Hardcore game mode was largely absent in the playlists for Season 2 Reloaded. Hardcore is popular due to its much lower time-to-kill among Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players, but some fans are feeling left out after the latest update.
Since Call of Duty: Black Ops 6‘s launch back in October, gamers have not been shy in sharing their concerns with Treyarch about the game. For example, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players were recently annoyed with the recent TMNT event, after the price was revealed. Treyarch doesn’t always immediately act on every bit of player feedback, but the studio has largely done a solid job of addressing player complaints with reactive updates so far.

Rumor: A Controversial Modern Warfare Operator Is Coming to Black Ops 6 in Season 3
A new leak suggests that a controversial operator from the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series will be returning in Black Ops 6 Season 3.
In a post on Reddit, user Pummpy1 claimed that the most recent Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 playlist update for Season 2 Reloaded has largely ignored Hardcore players, pointing out that four of the new playlists (Small Map Moshpit, TMNT Moshpit, Grind Ooze 24/7, and Bullet 24/7) are all exclusive to Core. On top of this, there are four constant game modes currently unavailable in Hardcore, with Pummpy1 stating that it’s “ridiculous actually how much content you lose playing only Hardcore.”
Core-Exclusive Playlists in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 Reloaded
- Small Map Moshpit
- TMNT Moshpit
- Grind Ooze 24/7
- Bullet 24/7
- Gunfight
- Overdrive
- Control
- Headquarters
Most in the thread agreed that something should be done during Season 2 Reloaded to ensure that Black Ops 6‘s Hardcore players are catered to. However, it was also pointed out that Treyarch may not want to split the player base too much with the addition of Hardcore options. For example, Hardcore has both Stakeout and Nuketown 24/7 playlists to satisfy the small map craving, which could be deemed enough by the developer. Whether that is a correct assessment is another matter entirely.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is currently going through the motions of a standard live service COD title. Its seasonal model seems to work well for the series, ensuring there’s always enough content to keep players engaged throughout the year-long release cycle. Players know they can expect a Season 3 in the future, even as Black Ops 6 Season 2 Reloaded is only just getting started.
