A Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 player has discovered a handy traversal trick for the new Season 2 map, Lifeline, allowing them to appear behind the enemy spawn point without being seen. Lifeline was just one of three new maps added to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 with the game’s Season 2 update and is set onboard a luxury yacht similar to Hijacked, which was a popular multiplayer map during the days of Black Ops 2.
After one of the longest seasons in Call of Duty history, Black Ops 6 and Warzone’s highly-anticipated Season 2 update was finally released on January 28. The patch brought with it a fresh Battle Pass filled with new weapons, operator skins, Double XP tokens, and various other cosmetic items. While Black Ops 6 players were also treated to new maps and modes, Warzone players had less content to check out as Activision confirmed it would be prioritizing gameplay tuning, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements for Season 2. The decision comes after multiple weeks of complaints from players, as many believe Warzone is in its worst state to date.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Player Discovers Alternative Route on Lifeline
With the game’s Season 2 update, developer Treyarch Studios released three new maps for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, with two more still to come during the mid-season update. One of the most highly-anticipated maps to arrive with Season 2 was Lifeline, with fans instantly comparing it to Hijacked from 2012’s Black Ops 2. The map can be played on either 6v6 modes, such as Team Deathmatch, or on the popular Gunfight mode, which is 2v2. With the map being so small, one player has discovered a handy traversal trick to quickly get behind the enemy spawn point and rack up plenty of kills in quick succession.
In the short clip, the user shows how it is possible to dive off the side of the yacht in Black Ops 6‘s Lifeline map and swim to the back end of the ship. With less than a second left before being eliminated for being out of bounds, the player springs up behind the enemy team and racks up plenty of eliminations. As diving into the water is not technically part of the map, players only have three seconds to pull off this trick before they are eliminated, so it might take a few attempts.
This isn’t the first time that a player has discovered an out-of-bounds trick on one of the game’s maps. Not long after its release, Black Ops 6 players discovered a similar traversal trick on Stakeout, one of the game’s most popular maps. On one side of the map is a hallway with a set of stairs; while these stairs are blocked by a small rope that indicates an out-of-bounds area, players quickly realized that they can still venture up the stairs and jump from the top floor back into the center of the map. Again, with only three seconds on the clock, it requires some quick and precise movements to pull off successfully.
