Brighter Shores: How to Unlock Capes
Brighter Shores is an old-school MMORPG with a large world to explore and a variety of professions to pursue. From the start, you will find yourself grinding XP to level up your preferred jobs. Since many quests require high-level professions, leveling up is one of the core aspects of Brighter Shores.
Players reaching high levels can collect decorative items called capes to showcase the hours they’ve spent on a profession. Each profession has four capes that can be unlocked after reaching certain level milestones. In this guide, you will learn about capes in Brighter Shores and everything you need to know about this cosmetic item.

Where to Buy Capes in Brighter Shores: Cloakroom Location
To purchase a cape in Brighter Shores, you will need to visit The Cloakroom store in Pipe Alley, on the east side of Hopeport Town. If you haven’t been to this part of town yet, use the Teleport spell to get to the Hopeport Portal Stone. From there, head south to Town Square, then go east into Old Street West.
Continue east to enter Old Street East, and turn north into Pipe Alley. You will find The Cloakroom store on the left side of the alley. Head inside and talk to Daguer to open the cape shop menu.
Brighter Shores: Cape Prices and Unlock Criteria
In Brighter Shores, you can unlock four capes by leveling up each profession. To get your first cape, you must reach level 50 in any profession to unlock the Journeyman cape. The other three capes require you to reach levels 100, 200, and 500, respectively. As the cape tier increases, the cape length also extends, featuring new embroidery and patterns on its lower end.
Reaching these level milestones only makes the capes purchasable—you will also need a significant amount of money to buy them. Here are the costs of capes in Brighter Shores:
Cape Tier |

While different professions are available in each episode of Brighter Shores, all capes are sold at The Cloakroom in Hopeport Town. If you have extra capes, you can use Capes Bank at The Cloakroom to store them.

Beginners to Brighter Shores may be a little lost at first. These simple tips will help players get on the right track.
How to Use Capes in Brighter Shores
Capes are purely cosmetic items and provide no stats in Brighter Shores. After level 20, it takes a lot of effort to gain even one level, so capes help you display your dedication and let other players know about your proficiency in a profession or your fondness for it.
After purchasing a cape from Daguer at The Cloakroom, open your inventory by pressing the “I” button or clicking the backpack icon. Select the cape and choose “Equip” to wear it. To remove the cape, go to the Armor tab, click on the cape, and select “Unequip.”
Capes are among the most expensive items you can buy in Brighter Shores. While they don’t provide any extraordinary stats, players who want to flaunt their high-level jobs may enjoy owning a cape.
