Borderlands 4 will take the franchise’s skill tree mechanic to new heights, with a lead producer boasting the “deepest and most diverse” selection of abilities and upgrade paths the series has ever seen. Hype has been building for Borderlands 4 for some time, though developers kept remarkably quiet regarding the upcoming game until recently. Aside from new weapons, characters, and a brand-new story, the Borderlands 4 team is also hyping up the game’s skill trees, which sounds like they have been given a big facelift.
Choosing the right character and skills has long been one of the most important parts of any video game, with Borderlands‘ selection of weapons making character customization a top priority. Not only does each character come with their own specific look and costumes, but historically, each one has also made major changes and modifications to how weapons work. Borderlands 4 is set to add even more options for players to sift through and min/max to their heart’s desire, thanks to a revamped skill tree system.
