Best Ways to Get Medals (Dupes) in Disney Pixel RPG
Most modern gacha games include an ascension system that allows players to break level caps and enhance their characters’ stats beyond the initial limits. While each game may introduce unique terminology for this mechanic, the core function remains the same. In Disney Pixel RPG, this mechanic is called Limit Break and relies entirely on a resource called Medals.

Obtaining Medals in Disney Pixel RPG is a slow and demanding process, making it challenging to ascend your pixel warriors. Although there’s no specific way to farm Medals, this guide will help players understand the mechanics of this resource, discover its sources, and maximize its use for their teams.
What Are Medals in Disney Pixel RPG?
In Disney Pixel RPG, a Medal represents a duplicate (dupe) or copy of a character. Once you’ve unlocked a character, any additional copies you receive from pulls or rewards are converted into Medals. These Medals are essential for breaking a character’s limit, allowing you to enhance their stats after reaching the level-up cap.
Gacha players familiar with games like Genshin Impact will recognize this mechanic. Disney Pixel RPG follows a standard approach to dealing with duplicates and ascensions, keeping the process simple: once you accumulate at least 100 Medals (character dupes), you can perform a Limit Break to ascend the character.
How Can You Get More Medals?
The most reliable way to obtain Medals in Disney Pixel RPG is by pulling on the regular one- and two-star banners. These pulls will likely give you duplicates of characters you already own, which will then be converted into Medals, similar to Dupes in other gacha games.
While it’s technically possible to earn Medals from quest rewards, it’s a rare occurrence. It’s also important to note that although you can craft Upgrade Materials later in the game, you cannot craft Medals. They must be earned through gacha pulls or rewards.
How Should You Use Medals to Limit Break Characters?
Once you’ve collected enough Medals for a specific character (typically 100), go to the Upgrade menu and select “Limit Breaks.” From there, choose how many times you want the character to break limits and press “Upgrade” to ascend them. You can also press the “LBrk Eff.” button to view the stat boosts that each ascension will grant to your unit.
What Is Limit Break Effect (LBrk Eff.)?
Each time you perform a Limit Break on a character, they receive permanent boosts to HP, ATK, and DEF, starting at around 10% and maxing out at 50%. This boost is known as the Limit Break Effect (LBrk Eff.) and is crucial for fully maximizing a character’s stats. You can break a character’s limit up to ten times, meaning you will need over 1,000 Medals to unlock each character’s full potential.
