Stellar Jades is a crucial currency in Honkai: Star Rail as players need them to get new characters in the game.
To create a team like that, you need a DPS who’s capable of carrying their team DMG. Not only that, they also need to be able to break enemies’ Toughness in order to apply the Break DMG effects. For that, this guide will list the best Break DPS units in Honkai: Star Rail.
4 Xueyi
Xueyi is a decent Destruction unit in Honkai: Star Rail. Her ability to ignore enemies’ Toughness allows her to inflict the Quantum Break effect on any enemy, which can be useful in many situations. Xueyi is a character with a mixed kit that complements many styles of gameplay. She’s a Break DPS with the ability to be built on Crit and DMG, and she can also be paired with Follow-up Supports who can buff her Talent’s Follow-up attack.

Hanya can grant SPD buff to the team and even restore Skill Points in Honkai: Star Rail.
While the 4-star can be a useful Break DPS in Honkai: Star Rail, she still suffers from multiple cons, such as being a demanding character who needs a lot of investment. She needs a team that revolves around buffing her DPS while helping in breaking enemies’ Toughness to stack her own Talent Follow-up attack.
3 Rappa
Being a typically-limited Erudition unit doesn’t stop Rappa from being useful in any situation in Honkai: Star Rail. What’s so good about Rappa is her insane Break DMG that is matched with her Imaginary attribute, which leads to constant AoE Imprisonment of enemies. Having a character who constantly Imprisons enemies regardless of their types and deals massive Super Break DMG to them is always good.
However, while Rappa’s Imaginary type is good for triggering Imprisonment on Toughness Break, this Element is deals the weakest Break DMG on Toughness Break. It explains why she goes through multiple passive buffs to live up to the other Break DPS units. Unfortunately, with all her usefulness, Rappa falls into more of a utility unit instead of a super-duper DPS unit.
2 Boothill
There aren’t many characters in Honkai: Star Rail who can deal DMG to a single target like Boothill does. Not only that, but Boothill can also deal a significant amount of Toughness Break to his opponents. Additionally, being able to apply Physical weakness to enemies makes Boothill a useful Break DPS to have in multiple situations. He’s also very useful in Apocalyptic Shadow as it’s a game mode that revolves around taking down a boss in Honkai: Star Rail, which is Boothill’s specialty.
Note that being a Hunt unit limits Boothill to game modes that revolve around taking down one unit. For instance, he’s restricted in game modes like Pure Fiction.
1 Firefly
Firefly can easily reach the potential to be the hardest-hitting unit in Honkai: Star Rail. Unfortunately for Firefly havers, she suffers from a strong limitation, but once you’re passed it, she’s a force to be reckoned with. In order to reach Firefly’s full potential, you have to pair her with Harmony Trailblazer and Ruan Mei. Without those two, Firefly’s DPS falls greatly, and she suffers to prove herself.
Once you invest enough in Firefly and her team, you have potentially created the strongest team in Honkai: Star Rail. A character that can be useful in any game mode and wreak insane DMG anywhere. Single targets or AoE, Memory of Chaos or Pure Fiction, Firefly can be the best DPS of them all.
While Firefly still suffers from minor cons like being SP unfriendly, she’s still capable of swiftly breaking enemies’ Toughness and inflicting a huge amount of Super Break DMG on them afterward. She’s also reliant on her Ultimate, but she can supply herself with enough energy to keep it active for the entire fight.
