Another Potential TGA 2024 Announcement Leaks Online

The First Berserker: Khazan has been scheduled for a March 27 release, according to a new report from a credible industry insider. Taking this claim at face value, the game’s release date seems likely to be announced at The Game Awards 2024.

Developed by Nexon’s South Korean subsidiary Neople, The First Berserker: Khazan is a hardcore action RPG likely to appeal to soulslike fans. Nexon last said that the game was targeting an early 2025 launch.

Well-known insider Billbil-kun is now reporting that The First Berserker: Khazan has locked in a concrete release date: March 27. The long-time leaker believes that this date will be officially confirmed “very soon.” Seeing how The Game Awards 2024 are just around the corner, the December 12 event seems like a plausible venue for Nexon to make the announcement. The South Korean publisher has consistently maintained a presence at Geoff Keighley’s shows in recent years, as underlined by the fact that The First Berserker: Khazan itself was originally unveiled at TGA 2023.

TGA 2024 Rumored To Feature Multiple Game Release Date Announcements

Billbil-kun isn’t the first source to allege that Nexon and Neople’s upcoming ARPG will have its release date announced at the next edition of The Game Awards. One late November 2024 leak outlining several supposed TGA 2024 announcements also mentioned The First Berserker: Khazan, along with some God of War– and Rise of the Ronin-related news. Additionally, Split Fiction, Crimson Desert, and Dune Awakening are rumored to be revealing their release dates during the show.

Should Nexon indeed announce The First Berserker‘s release date at the next edition of TGA, it will likely do so with a new trailer. The publisher has already shared several video teasers for the game, in addition to offering hands-on gameplay sessions at Gamescom in late August 2024.

The Game Awards 2024 is scheduled to kick off at 4:30pm PST / 7:30pm EST on December 12. The event is expected to run for approximately three and a half hours. If its past iterations are any indication, a significant portion of TGA 2024 will be dedicated to game trailers. And while most companies participating in the show are keeping their announcements close to the vest, some have been more forthcoming than others. For instance, award-winning developer Hazelight Studios has already confirmed that its next game will be revealed at TGA 2024. As was the case with its first two titles, A Way Out and It Takes Two, Hazelight’s next project will be published by Electronic Arts.

The First Berserker: Khazan is a hardcore action role-playing game. The player will become Khazan, the great general of the Pell Los Empire, who overcame death, and sets out to reveal the incidents that led to his downfall and seek vengeance on his enemies.
