Key Takeaways

  • Agatha All Along was a hit with MCU fans, leaving open the possibility of more episodes.
  • Kathryn Hahn expressed interest in returning for Agatha All Along Season 2, but Marvel hasn’t confirmed anything.
  • Speculation suggests Disney’s Vision series could serve as a sequel to Agatha All Along.

The WandaVision follow-up Agatha All Along caught audiences in a spell when it was released on Disney+ earlier this year, earning high viewership numbers, and now award nominations. Given the MCU series’ open-ended conclusion, many fans are hoping for a Season 2 of Agatha All Along, but that may not be happening any time soon according to one of the series’ stars.

Agatha All Along follows up the events of WandaVision with a series focusing on notorious witch Agatha Harkness, who was left trapped in a spell in Westview after Season 1. Agatha is eventually freed by Joe Locke’s Billy Kaplan and gathers a coven to travel along the fabled Witches’ Road. The series hit some series highs with MCU fans, particularly after a few of the major character’s true identities were revealed. While Agatha All Along resolved its storyline by the end of the season, it left enough doors open for many of the major characters to reappear or continue the series in some way.

Kathryn Hahn Addresses Agatha All Along Season 2

No indication of Agatha All Along Season 2 has been given by Marvel Studios, but that hasn’t stopped the stars (and fans) from hoping for a return. In an interview for Variety with Kathryn Hahn, which took place following her Golden Globe nomination for Agatha All Along, the actress confirmed that she would be thrilled to return for more with her character. Unfortunately, Hahn said she’d heard nothing from Marvel Studios about a sequel. “We always thought of [Agatha All Along] as a trilogy with the “Vision” show, but who knows? They run a tight ship over there. I’ve heard nothing,” she said.

“I know anyone in the cast would be thrilled to jump into it. It was like one of the toughest, most coven-building, nourishing experiences of my creative life. So, I know we would all be absolutely thrilled. We always thought of it as a trilogy with the “Vision” show, but who knows? They run a tight ship over there. I’ve heard nothing.”

One hint that had many convinced Agatha All Along could get another season was Disney’s choice to submit the show in the Best Comedy Series categories, rather than the Limited Series categories. Under many of the awards show’s guidelines, limited series must tell a complete and non-recurring story, so the choice to submit Agatha All Along as a comedy series suggests there may be more story to come from the MCU series. However, Hahn’s comments that Agatha All Along was considered part of a trilogy along with WandaVision and the upcoming Vision-focused series, seem to suggest it may continue but in the form of Paul Bettany’s Vision series.

Will Disney+’s Vision Series Be An Agatha All Along Sequel?

Speculation has been rife about what the Vision series (rumored to be titled Vision Quest) may look like. The series will reportedly focus on White Vision, who was introduced in WandaVision’s finale as the reincarnation of Vision who was killed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. In his solo series, the character is said to be looking for his purpose, but a popular theory is that he may reunite with his long-lost son, Tommy Maximoff, who Billy successfully brought back to life in Agatha All Along. With Billy and Agatha setting off to look for Tommy at the end of Agatha All Along, it seems that all paths are prime to come together in the Vision series.

Agatha All Along is currently streaming on Disney+.
